Shannon Beador Arrested For DUI, Hit-and-Run After Crashing Into A Random House
Shannon Beador was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run on Saturday night — following an incident where she allegedly made contact with a house in Newport Beach, California.
Following the collision with a home in the residential area, the Real Housewives of Orange County star attempted to flee the scene. However, she soon halted her vehicle mid-road, exiting with her dog in tow, as reported by TMZ on Monday morning.
Shannon Beador reportedly resumed her journey on the road only to abruptly stop again, this time leaving her vehicle parked in the middle of the street as she exited with her dog.
Police arrived on the scene to find the reality TV star seemingly attempting to play off the incident as a casual stroll. However, officers quickly discerned her inebriated state and proceeded to arrest her.
A spokesperson for the Newport Beach Police Department confirmed that Shannon Beador faced charges on two misdemeanor counts — one for hit-and-run and another for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, her vehicle was impounded as it became a significant part of the ongoing investigation.
She received citations and was subsequently released without any bond being set.
The preceding months have indeed been tumultuous for the founder of Real for Real, as she navigates the emotional aftermath of ending her 3-and-a-half-year relationship with John Janssen.
As reported, an intoxicated Shannon was kicked out of a bar in July following a heated verbal altercation with the daughter of John Janssen.
Shannon and John seemed to put their differences aside, coming together for a cordial dinner. However, it remains unclear whether the photos Shannon posted on Instagram were from the night of the disagreement or captured in the subsequent days.
In a recent episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon’s co-star, Gina Kirschenheiter, expressed the belief that Shannon might benefit from seeking professional assistance to address her alcohol consumption.
“Shannon says s–t, and then she wants to pretend that she didn’t do it, and if you can say things that are that f–king hurtful and not even remember you said it, you need to go f–king check yourself into rehab,” Gina Kirschenheiter emotionally said in a confessional.
In past seasons of the show, Gina found herself on the receiving end of a DUI charge that Shannon later gossiped about. Initially, Shannon stepped in, leveraging her connections with the Orange County District Attorney to prevent Gina’s arrest, a favor that has since become a recurring topic in Shannon’s narrative.
However, the dynamics took a darker turn recently when Shannon implied her intervention had spared Gina’s children from intervention by Child Protective Services post the DUI incident — a claim she asserted strongly despite the considerable fallout. And adding fuel to the fire, when challenged on this claim, Shannon vehemently rejected having made such a statement, deepening the rift between the ladies.
