RHONJ’s Dolores Catania Sings Teresa Giudice’s Praises Amid Alliance Shake Up!

Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Dolores Catania, teased a drama-filled Season 14 during a pink carpet appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards. 

Fox News caught up with Dolores, who grabbed the chance to give a public shout-out to her cast bestie, Teresa Giudice.

Dolores dished that fans will not be “disappointed” by all that has played out during filming season. Recent rumors alleged that cast drama went down at the reality star’s annual charity softball game. 

Dolores also weighed in on Teresa’s August 2022 wedding to Luis Ruelas. 

Fans might remember that Dolores only stood alongside Teresa during the ceremony because RHONJ alum, Dina Manzo, dropped out of the wedding party at the last minute. 

Dolores gushed that the wedding was “everything,” as was Teresa. She described the bride as a “princess,” noting that the “romantic wedding” was “what [Teresa] deserved.”

The rift between Teresa’s best gal pals reportedly stems from Dolores’ decision to write a letter supporting the 2021 release of Dina’s jailed ex-husband, Tommy Manzo, after he was arrested for coordinating a violent break-in and attack on Dina and her current husband, David Cantin. 

Caroline Manzo, Dina’s estranged sister who is married to Tommy’s brother, Albert Manzo, also pushed for her former brother-in-law’s release  while he was behind bars. Caroline’s actions reportedly led to a falling-out between the sisters. 

Most followers of the story know that Caroline advocated for Tommy, but Dina later revealed that Dolores also campaigned for his release. 

Dina Manzo and Dave Cantin were actually present when Luis popped the question to his future wife in Greece, in October 2021. The proposal was highlighted by sparklers, candles, roses, a violinist and fireworks. The group dined on lobster, sea bass and lamb chops at the resort’s restaurant, Nama, celebrating the engagement until 5 am. 

“It was absolutely exquisite,” a source told PEOPLE, at the time. “The choreographed fireworks display illuminated a ‘Marry Me’ sign as Louie got down on one knee. Teresa was completely surprised.”

In April, RHONJ star, Jackie Goldschneider, dished that a fight went down between Dolores and Teresa ahead of Teresa and Luis’ engagement party. 

“I’ve heard that Dolores and Teresa had a fight, and that’s why she wasn’t at the engagement party,” Jackie said during an episode of the RHONJ: After Show.

“I think Dolores was overheard saying something, and Teresa found out, and they got in a fight about it.” Don’t forget, the main rule of being on Teresa’s good side is never to have an opinion that differs from hers.”

Melissa Gorga chimed in, confirming that Dolores and Dina’s relationship was strained due to Dolores’ close friendship with Caroline Manzo. She added that Dolores was initially not even included on the guest list. 

“She was added in the second round of invites. I believe Dina was supposed to attend, but when she declined, Dolores was asked to take her place,” Melissa explained.

Also in RHONJ news, Danielle Cabral has recalibrated her loyalties, opting to align herself with Margaret Josephs and Melissa Gorga. This comes despite the distressing personal attacks from Margaret last season, which left Danielle in a state of panic and upheaval.

Succumbing to significant pressure and a surge of adverse reactions from fans concerning her support of Teresa, Danielle  has been prompted to seek refuge with Margaret and Melissa. 

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 is currently in production.
