Brielle Biermann Skips Out on Credit Drama As AmEx Backs Down, While Kim Zolciak and Kroy Swim in Debt!
American Express has dismissed its lawsuit against Kim Zolciak’s daughter, Brielle Biermann.
The credit card company informed the court that they were dropping the case, per court documents obtained by Radar Online.
In August, American Express accused the 26-year-old of owing $12,870.25 on her card. The company alleged that the influencer had not complied with numerous demands to pay her bill. The complaint stated that the Don’t Be Tardy alum missed monthly minimum payments, listed as $1,381.88. The figure included an overdue amount of $896.62.
The suit came two months after her mother was sued by Target National Bank for failing to make payments on $2,482.24 in principal and credit card fees. Kim opened the card on December 10, 2007 and her last payment was on September 17, 2022 according to court documents.
The legal drama comes amid Brielle’s mother and stepfather, Kroy Biermann’s ongoing divorce. The former pro athlete is requesting primary custody of the couple’s four children, temporary child support and exclusive use of the family home.
Earlier this month, the former Atlanta Falcons linebacker was begging the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum to agree to sell their Georgia mansion to cover their massive debt.
Kroy explained — “The marital home was set to be auctioned on March 7, 2023. In just the nick of time, the parties were able to avoid foreclosure and the home was taken off the auction block. An agreement was reached with Truist, that placed the parties on ‘foreclosure probation’; if the parties made their mortgage payments every month for three months, the unpaid amount would be placed at the back of the loan and foreclosure again avoided.”
He added that he had covered necessary payments which “held off the commencement of foreclosure proceedings.”
His lawyer stated — “The parties’ financial situation is dire and will soon dramatically affect the well-being of the four minor children. Petitioner finds himself trying to cobble together enough money to pay the $2,000 electric bill. Meanwhile, Respondent flew to Los Angeles for some rest and relaxation.”
Kim and Kroy’s financial woes made headlines when the pair was slapped with a federal tax lien on April 11. The IRS accused the pair of owing over a million dollars in back taxes for the years 2013, 2017 and 2018.
Kroy was later hit with a lawsuit over outstanding debt racked up in a Bahamas casino and an unpaid bill tied to a car lease.
Kim recently landed an opportunity to bring in cash when she won a spot on the upcoming season of MTV series, “The Surreal Life.” As reported, she traveled to Colombia earlier this month to shoot the eighth season of the star-studded reality show. The Season 8 cast includes Macy Gray, Chet Hanks, Johnny Weir, Ally Brooke, O.T. Genasis and Josie Canseco.
