‘Summer House’ Couple Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke End Engagement, She’s DEVASTED!

Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke have officially ended their relationship, and the Summer House beauty is reportedly devastated.  

The Summer House couple got engaged in August 2022 and was set to tie the knot in Mexico, this fall. Carl confirmed the news in a letter to family and friends, obtained by People. The 38-year-old apologized to the duo’s  guests in the penned update. 

“Words cannot possibly express how difficult the last two weeks have been for Lindsay and I,” he wrote. “We are so incredibly sorry to all of our guests for the confusion and lack of communication. We were left trying to figure out how this all exactly happened before we could even have the opportunity to determine the path forward amongst ourselves.”

Lindsay Hubbard, 37, and Carl met while filming the reality show, in 2017. Their initial romance didn’t last, but the pair went on to form a solid friendship which grew stronger during seasons 4 and 5. In January 2022, Carl confirmed that the couple had officially exited the friend zone amid rumors that they had rekindled a romantic relationship. 

Carl popped the question in August 2022 on a Hamptons beach as cameras rolled. The proposal was featured during Season 7 of “Summer House.” Danielle already celebrated her engagement with a bridal shower in New York City. Her Bahamas bachelorette bash was set for next month. 

“My advice: Never give up on that fairytale kind of love! 👩🏼‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻,” Lindsay gushed after the proposal. “(Sorry to be sappy, but f*ck it’s hard not to be right now).”

“There have been a lot of false narratives and misunderstandings that have made this all the more painful but sadly at this time we are not moving forward with the wedding,” Carl’s letter continued. “The fact of the matter is Lindsay is devastated and I’m crushed with how all this transpired. I graciously ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover while we navigate this extremely difficult time.”

Lindsay’s co-star, Danielle Olivera, weighed in on the quick engagement while filming the series, last summer. 

“That’s what I’m scared of, it’s a little too fairy tale-like,” Olivera, 34, said. “They’re playing house.”

She added that she “1,000 percent” believed that the couple was moving too fast. 

“I think to get engaged right now would be crazy,” she told a few of her co-stars. 

Carl acknowledged that their friends and family had invested time and money to attend the destination event.

He wrote — “I don’t take [this] lightly. We are super grateful for the love and support you have shown us and will do what I can to help with any costs associated with changing plans.”

Carl suggested potential alternatives like a Mexican getaway or perhaps canceling reservations altogether, before wrapping his letter. 

The reality star concluded — “I’m sorry again this has become such a mess. Thanks for your unconditional love and support during this tough time. Will be in touch with further updates. With love, Carl“
