Kim Zolciak Makes Reality TV Comeback Amid Divorce from Kroy Biermann

Kim Zolciak is staging a return to reality TV, though you won’t find her on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The ex-Bravo star has joined the cast of MTV’s The Surreal Life, as confirmed by a press release acquired by All About The Tea.

Kim Zolciak traveled to Colombia this past weekend to shoot the eighth season of the star-studded reality show, set to start production this month, TMZ first reported.

The cast also includes Macy Gray, Chet Hanks, Johnny Weir, Ally Brooke, O.T. Genasis and Josie Canseco.

“The Surreal Life,” a show documenting the interactions of a group of celebrities living and undertaking various activities together, made a comeback to television in October 2022, following a 16-year break.

Past participants on the show encompass stars like Dave Coulier, Tamar Braxton, Stormy Daniels, Dennis Rodman, Janice Dickinson, Flavor Flav, Tammy Faye Messner, and Jose Canseco, who is the father of the upcoming contestant, Josie.

Kim hasn’t spoken publicly about her comeback to reality TV. However, she hinted at being away from her Atlanta residence when she shared an Instagram Story on Tuesday, featuring herself dancing in a sophisticated, modern bathroom.

In a follow-up video, a person who seems to be Weir, aged 39, disrupted her selfie session. Kim greeted him with “Oh, hello, love,” to which the unrecognizable man enthusiastically responded, “Hello!”

The mom of six will probably have a wealth of stories to share with her fellow cast members given her ongoing tumultuous divorce proceedings with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kroy Biermann.

Kim and the ex-football star, 38, initiated divorce proceedings in May, exchanging a series of accusations for months before ultimately deciding to halt the divorce in July.

Yet, their short-lived reunion was fleeting, with Kroy petitioning to end their marriage once more just a month later in August. He also requested an emergency hearing to ensure the couple’s $3 million Georgia home hits the market ASAP.

“If the court orders it then the court can enforce the order. It is taking control out of the hands of the parties,” Bergstrom told Us at the time. “And this is exactly what needs to be done at this point.”

Around that time, the reality stars reportedly had a heated argument concerning financial issues before the athlete filed for divorce a second time.

Kim Zolciak recently claimed that she and Kroy were “working” on mending their marriage yet again, but this was promptly denied by his lawyer who stated, “There is no reconciliation.”

Kim was part of the initial cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta when it debuted on Bravo in October 2008. She remained on the show until its fifth season, after which she documented her family’s daily life on “Don’t Be Tardy” from 2012 to 2020.
