Teresa Giudice Faces Backlash for Starbucks Snap in Switzerland During Vacation with Luis Ruelas
Teresa Giudice was hit with snarky feedback after she hit up a Starbucks while vacationing overseas. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star posted a pic on Instagram, revealing that she had enjoyed a strawberry açaí refresher at Starbucks during her trip to Switzerland with husband, Luis Ruelas.
Teresa shared a series of photos snapped in Lucern, with one shot featuring the Bravo star posing in front of a Starbucks. Critics and trolls took to the comment section to drag Teresa for going American while in Switzerland.
One person wrote — “Imagine going all the way to Switzerland and hitting the Starbucks.”
Another user added — “How about when you are in other countries to eat their food. Drink their drinks. Live like they do to immerse yourself in their culture. Get Starbucks when you get home.”
A third commenter pushed back on the criticism, noting — “Is Switzerland famous for its coffee? It’s not ok to go to [an] internationally recognized place for coffee?”
Teresa has yet to address the blowback, as the photo snapped in front of the coffee chain was only one of many she shared during her European vacation. The mom of four rocked a light pink romper and wedges in the slideshow, which included one shot taken in front of a column of bright flowers. Luis wore a black blazer with silver accents and black pants as he looked out over the city.
The couple took to Instagram Tuesday to share that they had enjoyed a stroll through Zürich during their romantic getaway. Teresa wore a black t-shirt, black leggings and light pink sneakers for their scenic walk, with Luis toning things down with a pair of white pants and a light gray t-shirt.
Luis, 48, and Teresa, 51, tied the knot in August 2022 amid behind-the-scenes drama involving the RHONJ star’s brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga.
Last month, the jet-setting couple celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Greece. The duo was spotted packing on the PDA in Mykonos, as they marked their one year milestone.
Luis and Teresa were seen smooching on the beach and in the water, and Luis was spotted massaging his wife’s shoulder and kissing the back of her neck.
The Bravo duo also celebrated their honeymoon in Mykonos, enjoying time at luxury hotel, Calilo.
Teresa Giudice shared a glimpse of their luxury accommodations on Instagram at the time, writing — “This is the land of love. Look how beautiful! It’s all about the love here.”
Greece was the also the backdrop for Luis’ proposal to the reality star, as the businessman popped the question at the Amanzoe Resort in Porto Heli, in October 2021.
“It was absolutely exquisite,” a source told PEOPLE, at the time. “The choreographed fireworks display illuminated a ‘Marry Me’ sign as Louie got down on one knee. Teresa was completely surprised.”
