Raquel Leviss Reacts To Backlash From Her Bethenny Frankel Interview

Raquel Leviss has reacted to fans who have been critical of her recent interview with Bethenny Frankel, which featured the Vanderpump Rules alum telling her side the story regarding her affair with Tom Sandoval. 

Sandoval’s girlfriend of nine years, Ariana Madix, discovered that Raquel had been involved in a secret romance with her boyfriend, in early March. News of the seven month affair exploded in the press and the cast went on to hash out the emotionally-charged drama in an intense reunion series. 

Leviss checked herself into a mental health facility after filming the reunion, explaining that she flew straight to a Phoenix treatment center after filming her final interview for Season 10.

“It was a really scary decision to make because I knew I needed help, but I didn’t know what to expect going in,” she told the Real Housewives of New York City alum. 

Podcaster, Jared B, recently called out the reality star for telling Bethenny that she would have rejected romantic involvement with her co-star if she felt that he and Ariana, 38, would go the distance. 

“This is a weird thing to admit because she’s saying she knew this wasn’t a real relationship or a relationship that had legs, so that’s why she decided to participate in this affair,” Jared pointed out, during a recent episode of his podcast, “Bravo Tea with Jared B.”

He added that it made Raquel, 28, appear “mad crazy.”

He continued — “Whether real or not, formerly, they were in a relationship despite the circumstances.”

Jared noted — “If you wanted to be with Tom Sandoval so bad, you should’ve let him know that this tryst, this situation going on between you and him, goes no further until you know officially that they have broken up.”

The former pageant queen agreed with Jared’s overall assessment but went on to blame Sandoval for her actions, in a comment posted beneath a clip of the episode. 

Raquel wrote — “you’re not wrong! I should have had more self respect than that and should have respected the relationship that Ariana had with Tom No excuses.”

She continued — “However, looking back, I see I had low self-worth and Tom kept telling me he was actively breaking up with her ‘amicably’ for her ‘mental health,’ which I can now see was magical thinking.”

“He had a million and one reasons why they hadn’t broken up yet and it was easier to stay in that fantasy then [sic] to face the fact that the social anxiety and isolation was not worth it,” the former Bravo star added.

Raquel reiterated that she agreed with the sentiment and that Jared was “100% right” in his rundown of the situation. 

She concluded — “It was MY responsibility to remove myself from that situation… now I know better ♥️.”
