Stassi Schroeder Accuses Bethenny Frankel of Making Ariana Madix the Villain In Messy Interview
Stassi Schroeder took aim at Bethenny Frankel for her portrayal of Ariana Madix, during the Real Housewives of New York City alum’s bombshell interview with former Vanderpump Rules star, Raquel Leviss.
“It was almost like Bethenny was trying to make Ariana look bad,” Stassi said on the August 23 episode of the “Straight Up With Stassi” podcast.
She added — “It’s like, that’s not the route we should be taking right now. Ariana hasn’t done anything wrong.”
Stassi, 35, also questioned why Bethenny pressed the point that Ariana, 38, is still living with her ex, Tom Sandoval, 41, months after news of his affair with Raquel broke. The duo officially called it quits in March, after Ariana discovered a sexually explicit video of Raquel on her then-boyfriend’s phone. Bethenny, who interviewed Raquel on her “Just B With Bethenny Frankel” podcast, pointed out the odd living arrangement while rehashing the drama with the ex reality star.
“What is this? Trying to say we weren’t that good of friends, Ariana’s making so much money now, she’s still living with Sandoval,” Stassi said. “She’s not living with Sandoval because she’s forgiven him. She’s living with Sandoval because she’s like, ‘This is my house too and I refuse to leave my own home,’ and Sandoval is being a gaslighting prick motherf–ker who is refusing to leave.”
Stassi claimed that Bethenny did not understand the reasoning behind Ariana and Tom remaining under the same roof.
“Bethenny, shut up,” she said. “This is another issue that I had. I understand Bethenny taking this interview. What I don’t understand is how she didn’t — when she found out she was gonna interview [Raquel] — go and binge-watch seasons 1 through f–king 10 so that she knew everything and do her research.”
Stassi went on to call the back-and-forth a “lazy f**king interview,” adding — “Just hearing her talk the way Bethenny talked about Ariana and Sandoval living together, that was a lazy interview. She did not do her research. She does not understand anything.”
Stassi slammed the Skinnygirl mogul for claiming that her interns brought in more cash than Raquel did during her time on “Vanderpump Rules.”
“It is kind of annoying how [Bethenny] speaks with so much authority when clearly she has not done her research about so many different things,” Stassi noted. “Even just about [Raquel] and how much she got paid. I don’t know what [Raquel] got paid. I truly don’t.”
Raquel said during her interview that she did not bring in any extra money despite the cheating scandal skyrocketing the show’s ratings. She also claimed that she couldn’t “even afford” to pay for the mental health care she received after being raked over the coals during the VPR reunion.
The Bravo alum recently removed a March 8 apology to Ariana, posted via Instagram, amid a rumored plan to sue Bravo.
