Raquel Leviss Deletes Apology to Ariana Madix from Instagram Amid Rumors of Her Suing Bravo
Raquel Leviss isn’t backing down. Rumors are swirling that she might be preparing for a legal showdown with Andy Cohen and Bravo.
The former Vanderpump Rules star recently removed an apology from her Instagram, originally posted on March 8, directed at her fellow co-star, Ariana Madix.
Revelation comes after revelations about her involvement with Tom Sandoval made headlines. Despite the public apology, Raquel hints that she and Ariana were never as close as fans believed.
Raquel Leviss, 28, did more than just a little digital tidying up this summer. After taking a brief break from social media, she returned with not only a cleaner profile but also a refreshed Instagram bio. Seems like Raquel is embracing a new chapter!
“Becoming a better person… one day at a time,” the former pageant princess’ bio reads.
The former reality diva seems to be curating a new image for herself. Along with her public apology, past snapshots featuring Tom, her ex-fiancé, James Kennedy, and other cast members from the Bravo reality series, have vanished from her feed. It appears she’s turning over a new digital leaf.
Weeks after making her voice heard post Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion, the Sonoma State University graduate, Raquel, shed more light on the “Scandoval” situation. On August 16, she joined Bethenny Frankel on her podcast, Just B With Bethenny, offering deeper insight into her experiences and takeaways.
While distancing herself from the “Single AF Cocktails” author, Raquel described their relationship as two “acquaintances who grew closer through the show,” rather than best friends.
“She’s always been somebody who’s been very sweet to me. She would stand up for me and encourage me to pursue whatever I was, I don’t know … pursuing,” she told the Real Housewives of New York alum. “And that was all great. But we never had, like, a deep conversation that I would have with a best friend.”
Ariana, Tom, James, Lala Kent, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, and Scheana Shay are all set to return for the new season. However, Raquel’s absence is hard to miss.
Weeks of speculation have culminated in Raquel seemingly stepping away from Vanderpump Rules. After her central involvement in Season 10’s infamous “Scandoval” — the infidelity drama that boosted the show to unprecedented ratings and earned it two Emmy nods — Raquel has finally broken her silence regarding her role in the show’s upcoming 11th season, which commenced filming on June 28.
While appearing on Bethenny’s podcast, Raquel revealed that despite her central role in the “Scandoval” — she didn’t receive any extra compensation. Intriguingly, she mentioned she “almost went back” to the show.
“I haven’t seen a single penny,” she said. “It’s not fair. And I feel like a toddler saying, ‘It’s not fair.’ But it really isn’t. And I feel like I’ve been portrayed as the ultimate villain. My mistakes that I’ve made on camera live on forever. And you mentioned something about the addiction of doing reality TV and the way that they always dangle that carrot in front of you, like, ‘Well, you need to tell your side of the story otherwise it’s gonna be written for you.’ And that’s terrifying. So I almost went back, I know just because of that.”
Following the reunion filming on March 23, where her castmates didn’t hold back in sharing their opinions on her, fans have been speculating that Raquel may be legally going after Bravo and Andy Cohen — especially after she checked into a mental health treatment facility and made damning claims during her interview with Bethenny Frankel.
Raquel is specifically targeting her ex-boss, Andy Cohen, who suggested she was “medicated” during the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion.
After a tough three-part reunion where Raquel faced heavy criticism from her ex-castmates over her relationship with Tom Sandoval, Andy Cohen commented that her seeming detachment might have been because she was “really medicated or really out of touch with her role in everything.” He later admitted to his Radio Andy audience that he perhaps shouldn’t have speculate.
When Raquel appeared on Bethenny Frankel’s podcast, fans raised their eyebrows, given that the former RHONY star has been in a legal tangle with Bravo and Andy Cohen, and considering the claims Raquel is making against Cohen, there’s growing speculation that she’s preparing for a legal battle with the network.
Tom and Ariana parted ways on March 3 following revelations of his affair with Raquel. Just five days after, Raquel addressed the situation, offering a public apology to both her fans and her fellow cast member.
“I want to apologize for my actions and my choices foremost to Ariana, and to my friends and the fans so invested in our relationships. There is no excuse, I am not a victim, and I must own my actions and I deeply regret hurting Ariana,” she wrote at the time. Raquel then admitted she was “reflecting” on her choices and learned about her “patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved.”
