Hollywood lawyer, Neal Hersh, will rep the singer’s ex as he prepares for the court battle.

The divorce document, obtained by Radar Online, lists June 11, 2022 as the marriage date and July 28, 2023 as the date of separation. Asghari cited “irreconcilable differences” and requested that the court grant him monthly spousal support and deny Spears any potential support.

“[Sam] has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party. [Sam] reserves the right to amend this Petition or to conform the Petition to proof,” Hersh wrote.

He added — “There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to Petitioner at this time. Petitioner reserves the right to amend this Petition or to conform the Petition to proof.”

The “Can You Keep a Secret?” actor also asked the court to require Spears to cover all of his legal bills.

Powerhouse lawyer, Laura Wasser, will represent Spears in her fight to prevent her ex from having their prenup tossed. Wasser has represented Kevin Costner, Kim Kardashian, Maria Shriver and Dr. Dre, among others.

Asghari, 29, allegedly accused Spears of infidelity, according to multiple reports. An insider told Page Six that he threatened to release embarrassing information about his soon-to-be ex, unless the prenup was adjusted more to his favor.

A tipster told the outlet that Asghari had been “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.”

A source close to Spears’ ex denied the allegations.

Brandon Cohen of BAC Talent stated, in response —“There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos.”

“However, all these claims are false, as no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be,” the rep added. “Sam has always and will always support her.”

A separate source told Page Six that the “Toxic” singer’s team has “protected” her and that “parting will be respectful.”

“It’s blackmail and it’ll never happen,” the insider said.

Asghari also claimed that Spears had physically attacked him on multiple occasions during their time together, per a report by TMZ. He reportedly told friends that he was forced to call security several times, once alleging that his wife attacked him and gave him a black eye while he was sleeping.

Spears reportedly has a net worth of $70 million. A large portion of her fortune has been spent on legal fees and child support for her two sons, Sean Preston, 17 and Jayden, 16, whom she shares with ex, Kevin Federline.
