Lisa Rinna In HOT WATER With Bravo After Calling For A Boycott of BravoCon!
Lisa Rinna has burned her bridge with Bravo after calling for a boycott of the network’s annual fan convention, BravoCon, according to a report by the Radar Online.
The network purportedly fired back after Lisa Rinna called for Bravo stars to skip the Las Vegas event to stand for fair wages and against NBCUniversal’s alleged mistreatment of reality TV personalities.
“Lisa is dead to Bravo,” a source told the outlet. “She is literally biting the hand that feeds her. You didn’t hear Lisa demanding a strike when she was collecting a Bravo paycheck.”
The insider noted — “This is sour grapes because she is no longer a Real Housewife and she wasn’t invited to participate in this year’s convention.”
Lisa Rinna’s rep denied that the former soap star was bitter, claiming that there were “no sour grapes at all,” explaining that the decision “was based solely on the principles of the matter surrounding the discussion of unionizing.”
National Enquirer insiders warned Lisa Rinna that she should watch her step, because Bravo is only one part of a large company within the entertainment industry.
“Don’t forget Bravo is part of a much bigger company. When you mess with one of the channels, you’re messing with them all,” an insider pointed out. “If Lisa ever wants to be on Access Hollywood, E! or the Today show ever again, she should shut her mouth.”
The 60-year-old actress confirmed that she would be leaving RHOBH in January, after appearing for nine seasons.
“This is the longest job I have held in my 35 year career and I am grateful to everyone at Bravo and all those involved in the series,” Rinna said, via a statement. “It has been a fun eight-year run and I am excited for what is to come!”
The network claimed at the time that the decision to cut ties was “mutual,” but many fans believed that the actress’ messy antics, both on the show and on social media, led to her demise.
In April, RHOBH cast member, Crystal Minkoff, confirmed that both Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne were “different” while filming the upcoming season without Rinna in the mix.
“Yes. That one’s a yes,” Crystal told Radar Online. “But then again, everyone is different with someone not there. I’m different.”
Rinna made recent headlines after calling out former “Days of Our Lives” director and co-executive producer, Albert Alarr, after it was reported that he received only a written warning after being investigated for workplace misconduct.
“Karma is a b—-,” Rinna, who played Billie Reed on the daytime series, commented.
She added — “Let’s see when’s the last time I went over there and did that week on Peacock I couldn’t believe the work environment. It was disgusting, I was shocked. I let many people know, Albert included, and they didn’t do a thing until now, it seems.”
