Terry Dubrow’s TEARFUL Confession on ‘WWHL’ – Reveals Heather LITERALLY Saved His Life!
Dr. Terry Dubrow became emotional during a Wednesday appearance on Watch What Happens Live, as he thanked his wife, Real Housewives of Orange County star, Heather Dubrow, for saving his life.
The plastic surgeon made a virtual appearance on the chat show to share about his recent health scare.
“I had symptoms of a stroke due to an anatomical defect in my heart,” the “Botched” star explained.
“I’m gonna try to say this without crying,” Terry continued, before breaking down in tears and covering his face.
“The only reason I’m standing here today and not six feet under is my best friend and my beloved wife’s insistence that I go to the emergency room and get checked out,” the 64-year-old added, as his wife listened on.
“She saved my life, so that’s just the way it goes,” he said.
Heather, who had tears in her eyes, joked with her husband to not “do this” as she had “a scheduled breakdown on Sept. 8.”
Terry went on, reiterating that he would have been in trouble if he had traveled to NYC to appear on WWHL alongside the RHOC star.
“I would have gone on a plane to come out to see you, Andy, and I would have had more blood clots from that flight,” he explained. “I definitely would have not survived.”
The scary ordeal unfolded last week as the couple dined at Los Angeles eatery, The Ivy, with their son, Nick.
Heather insisted that their 19-year-old son call 911, after Terry began “slurring his speech” for “less than a minute.”
Heather also pushed the surgeon to go the hospital before recruiting friends to back her up, which “embarrassed” her husband.
Terry suffered from a transient ischemic attack (TIA), which led to doctors discovering a hole between the left and right chambers of his heart.
The patent foramen ovale (PFO) “caused the TIA” when a blood clot “traveled to his brain,” the same medical condition that caused Hailey Bieber’s health crisis last year. Hailey later called the March 2022 diagnosis the “scariest moment” as she shared about the incident in a YouTube video.
An insider told Page Six on Wednesday that Terry was doing “great” and “back 100 percent with no impairments.”
The source said — “He’s being completely transparent because he’s a doctor and he’s dedicated his life to helping other people and shifted his entire practice to helping people.”
