Kate Chastain Claims Ramona Singer Deserved To Be Fired From ‘RHONY’

Kate Chastain believes that Ramona Singer got what she deserved when Bravo decided to recast and reboot the Real Housewives of New York City.

The former Below Deck chief stewardess took aim at the former Bravo star, calling out her “not nice behavior” during an upcoming appearance on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast.

“I hope this is just a learning lesson for us all in karma,” she said as she promoted new Bravo watch series, “Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate.”

Kate will launch the new series alongside her fellow “Below Deck” alum, Captain Lee Rosbach.

Kate went on — “And you just never know if you’re rude to someone…they could be taking over your TV show years down the road and telling the world that you were not nice.”

The mom of one was referencing RHONY rookie, Sai De Silva, who recently labeled Ramona a “total bitch” after encountering the Bravo alum in December 2022 in Miami at Art Basel.

Last month, Sai appeared alongside her co-stars on “Watch What Happens Live” to promote the reinvented reality series.

RHONY cast members, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, and Sai were all given paddles and instructed to dish the dirt in a segment called “Agree or Disagree.” Host, Andy Cohen, asked the ladies to spill if any former RHONY star had treated them unkindly. Sai was the only cast member to hold up her “Agree” paddle.

Ramona was a total b-tch to me at Art Basel,” Sai shared. “I introduced myself.”

Cohen pressed for more info, asking the RHONY newbie — “Did you tell her that you’re on the show?”

“Well, she treated me like a big — like, not a good fan,” she said, “and then after that, I proceeded to say, “Oh, I just wanted to introduce myself I’m on the reboot. The new era.”

The fashion influencer added that Ramona told her — ‘Honey, good luck. You’re gonna need it.’”

Kate told the outlet that she had witnessed similar behavior from Ramona in the past.

“I met Ramona when they were filming an episode of ‘RHONY’ on a boat in Sag Harbor before my Bravo days and she is who she is on TV,” the reality star said. “So I believe Sai’s story tracks.”

Kate, who welcomed her son, Sullivan, in May, gushed over the brand new RHONY cast.

“There’s a lot of pressure for them coming in and replacing such an iconic franchise,” Kate said. “But I cannot believe how well the cast has done, how much I’m enjoying it, how fresh it is and I just love every episode.”

She added — “And it doesn’t feel like they’re trying to be like the old ‘RHONY.’ They’re just such a strong cast as their own.”

Kate and Captain Lee will swap commentary on multiple Bravo shows including, “Below Deck Down Under,” “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” “Real Housewives of Orange County,” as well as the Miami and Atlanta “Housewives” franchises.

“I don’t know about Captain Lee, but this was my plan,” Kate quipped. “I mean, who doesn’t wish for this? We have the dream job. I love it so much. And I’m such a Bravo fan that this is just so fun for me.”

Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate premieres Monday at 10 pm ET on Bravo.
