‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Blasts TLC for Turning Late Husband’s Funeral into an Unrecognizable Spectacle

Tammy Slaton is claiming that TLC portrayed her late husband’s funeral in a way that was “completely not natural” for reality series, “1000-lb Sisters.”

Tammy Slaton’s late husband, Caleb Willingham, passed away in June, at the age of 40. Tammy told a source that her husband’s memorial service “wasn’t that sad” despite the show’s dark narrative. The insider alleged that Tammy slammed the network for intentionally “forcing drama” to bring in ratings.

The tipster alleged that Tammy Slaton said — “The filming of the funeral was ‘completely not natural’ and things were put in there to make it seem sad when it really wasn’t that sad.”

Tammy Slaton purportedly said that during the service “people were having fun, but [TLC producers] made it depressing.”

The service honoring the Indiana native included a small gathering of friends and family in Kentucky, close to the “1000-lb Sisters” star’s home.

The insider claimed that Tammy was concerned that cameras filming the event would make it appear that she had dropped her strict diet as she grieved the loss of her partner.

In early July, Tammy posted a tribute to Caleb on Instagram via a touching series of snapshots.

“Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much,” the reality star captioned the post. “Thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness.”

Caleb’s brother wrote on Facebook—“I can’t believe I’m even making this post, but today GOD called my big brother home. R.I.P. Caleb Willingham aka Killla K aka Double K aka one-half of the dynamic WWF tag team champions The W Boys aka my biggest supporter in anything I do. You will be forever loved and missed. Until we meet again.”

Tammy told People at the time—“I am devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was not only my beloved spouse but also my closest confidant and dearest friend. The depth of my love for him knows no bounds.”

Tammy and Caleb wed in November 2022, in a ceremony documented on the show. The pair connected and tied the knot at Ohio facility, Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center, but split a few months later. An insider told the U.S. Sun that Tammy was in the process of filing for divorce at the time of Caleb’s tragic passing.

Tammy, 36, reportedly decided to part ways with her husband because he lacked commitment to his weight loss program. The source revealed that the  dynamic played a significant role in their separation.

Tammy has her legal team lined up and is ready to file for divorce,” a snitch close to the “1000-Lb Sisters” star said.

“They split up because Caleb hasn’t been following his diet in rehab,” the insider alleged. “He has gained 30 pounds and hasn’t been working his program.”

The tipster added — “They got into a big fight over it and he told her he wanted a divorce, but then he tried to backtrack.”
