Erika Jayne Claims Menopause Made Her Skinny, NOT Ozempic Use

Erika Jayne shot down rumors that she was using Ozempic to shed pounds during a Tuesday appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star credited menopause for helping her to achieve her trimmer figure.

Ozempic is one brand name for semaglutide and tirzepatide — also known as Wegovy and Mounjaro—medications that work in the brain to thwart the user’s appetite.

After host, Andy Cohen, told the singer that she looked like a “whisper of herself,” Erika confirmed her obvious weight loss.

“Yes, I did come down in weight, and I did it hormonally,” the Bravo star said.

“Not Ozempic-ally?” Cohen asked.

“I was going through menopause,” Erika replied, adding, “so I took it all down.”

Erika Jayne only doubled down when guest, Jackie Hoffman, expressed doubt that any woman “loses weight in menopause.”

“I went to the doctor and I said get it off me,” the “Pretty Mess” personality explained, adding that she did not want to “trigger” any viewers with her personal commentary.

“We have this conversation in Beverly Hills and we have a cast member with an eating disorder,” she added, referring to co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff, who shared about her struggle with bulimia, last season.

Erika Jayne’s explanation garnered mixed reactions on Twitter, with some users cheering her on and others expressing doubt that she was coming clean about her weight loss secret.

One fan speculated that Hoffman “did not believe queen Erika Jayne that she lost weight during menopause instead of Ozempic.”

Another person chimed in, wondering if “anyone” was buying Erika’s story.

Erika’s remarks came after co-star, Kyle Richards, denied using the diabetes drug to accomplish her weight loss goals, earlier this year.

Earlier this year, the mom of four explained that making her health a priority had resulted in a slimmed down figure.

“NO alcohol, bread, pasta, sugar. I eat protein, fruit and vegetables,” Kyle said, back in January. “Now that I am the weight I want to be, I will have the occasional small amount of pasta etc once in a while. But no alcohol since July 15.”

Multiple reality stars have confessed to using or trying Semaglutide to drop pesky pounds.

In June, RHOC star, Emily Simpson, confessed to using Ozempic and liposuction to jump start her journey to better health. RHONJ cast members, Jennifer Fessler and Dolores Catania copped to using the shortcut in April.

Last week, RHOC husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, encouraged the public to “open up the dialogue” about the weight loss fad and avoid shaming stars who have confessed to using the drug.

The 64-year-old plastic surgeon said on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast—“Think of it as Botox 10 years ago when no one would admit to it. Now everybody admits to Botox.”

In April, Cohen defended his decision to praise various “Housewives” for jumping on the Ozempic train, telling his Radio Andy listeners — “I mean, if Dolores shows up looking 15 pounds lighter, I gotta find out how it happened.”
