Teresa Giudice Calls Sofia Vergara A ‘Rude’ Immigrant, Who ‘Forgot Where She Came From’
Teresa Giudice took aim at “Modern Family” actress, Sofia Vergara, during a recent episode of her podcast, “Namaste B$tches,” for supposedly icing her out as the pair appeared on the same talk show, back in 2017.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star reflected back on the incident with co-host, Melissa Pfeister, explaining that Vergara’s publicist tried to arrange for the duo to snap a photo together, much to Vergara’s chagrin.
“Sofía Vergara’s PR person and my PR person spoke together, and I guess the two of them said, ‘Let’s get a picture of Teresa and Sofía together,” Teresa claimed. “ “I didn’t want a picture with her. I’ve never asked to take a picture with anybody.”
“When we went to go take a picture she was like, standing in front of me, like ok, that’s not how you take a picture. She was the rudest woman I’ve ever met,” the reality star alleged. “I saw her whole demeanor and then I heard her say to her PR person, ‘Why are you making me take a picture with that lady?’”
Teresa Giudice made it clear that she did not appreciate Vergara’s diss, even mocking the star’s Colombian accent.
“I was like, ‘Excuse me? I did not want to take a picture with you! I never asked to take a picture with you,'” she continued.
Teresa Giudice reiterated that she was not a fan of the “America’s Got Talent” judge, as she continued her rant.
“I was like, how rude. You’re so not a humble person. You forgot where you came from. It’s not like she started out like being on the top. She forgot where she came from. She’s so not a down-to-earth person. I’m so not a fan of her,” she said.
Teresa previously spoke to TMZ about the her chilly encounter with the actress, stating—“Ugh, I can’t stand her, sorry. I hate to say that because I’m Italian, she’s Colombian, she has an accent — she has more of an accent than me!”
The Bravo star said via the TMZ video — “You would think she would be nice, like she’s an immigrant — no, I’m just saying, she should be nice!”
Teresa claimed that she experienced a similar vibe when she crossed paths with Vergara last year, while appearing on “Dancing With the Stars.”
“She’s just not a nice person. Just because I’m on a reality TV show you don’t want to associate yourself with me? It’s fine,” Teresa said.
Meanwhile, Teresa’s co-star, Dolores Catania, revealed earlier this month that there was no set start date to begin filming the next season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. The cast was originally scheduled to kick off production in mid August. Teresa’s ongoing feud with sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, amped up last season after it was revealed that the mom of four had been involved in spreading a cheating rumor about her brother’s wife. The revelation led to Melissa and husband, Joe, boycotting Teresa and now-husband, Luis Ruelas’ wedding.
The entire RHONJ full-time cast, Melissa, Teresa, Jennifer Aydin, Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral and Rachel Fuda are all expected to return for Season 14.
