Kroy Biermann SUED For Non-Payment of 6-figure Credit Card Bill as IRS Demands $1 Million

Kroy Biermann has been hit with a civil lawsuit accusing the former NFL star of refusing to pay his credit card bill.

Discover Bank filed the complaint against the husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Kim Zolciak, on July 14, Radar Online reports.

Discover alleged in the suit that the ex Atlanta Falcons player was given a credit card but failed to keep up with the required payments. The company alleged that Kroy had refused to pay his balance of $11,275.45. 

The company is now demanding that Kroy not only cough up the unpaid balance but also be required to pay their legal fees. The last billing statement showed a minimum payment of $2,055 due on May 22, 2023. The credit card bills revealed that Kroy made numerous payments to cover Xbox and Uber Eats expenditures. 

The owed $11k is a drop in the bucket compared to the massive figure the reality TV couple reportedly owes the Internal Revenue Service. The government filed a lien on the pair for owing taxes totaling $1,147,834.67, for the years 2013-2018. 

Kim is being taken to court by Target for not paying her bill and the couple was hit with a lawsuit by Simmons Bank after they missed payments on a $300k line of credit. Kroy was also sued for allegedly owing $52k to a Bahamas casino a couple of days after the latter lawsuit was filed. 

Target National Bank filed a complaint on June 28 that alleged that Kim had “failed, neglected and refused” to pay off the principal balance.

Kim and Kroy recently called off their divorce after initially announcing their breakup in May. 

In May, an insider told Us that financial issues had led to the couple’s split.

“The financial burdens have been a strain on their relationship,” a source claimed. “Between the tax debt and other financial stresses, it’s been difficult. The tax debt was the straw that broke the camel’s back in their marriage.”

The former pro athlete cited the ex Bravo star’s alleged gambling addiction as the main reason behind his decision to file for divorce. Kroy accused Kim of dropping “substantial” funds on the alleged habit, and even claimed that the behavior had hindered her ability to attentively parent their four minor children. 

The “Don’t Be Tardy” duo made headlines last week, after police body cam footage, obtained by Radar Online, revealed Kim telling a Milton, Georgia police officer that her husband was allegedly suffering from a “mental illness.” She also claimed that her husband’s mind appeared to be rapidly deteriorating.  

“Can I tell you it makes me sad to say this but he’s not right,” Kim told the cop, during a May 4 domestic dispute. “I swear on my kids, this is not the man that I married.”

She went on to imply that her husband was suffering from chronic traumatic encephalopathy, which typically occurs as a result of repeated head injuries and concussions.
