Kody and Robyn Brown Mysteriously Missing from Daughter Gwendlyn’s Wedding to Beatriz

Gwendlyn Brown, daughter of Sister Wives exes, Christine and Kody Brown, tied the knot with Beatriz Queiroz Saturday, but Kody and his only remaining wife, Robyn, appeared to to be absent from the festivities.  

 

Gwen’s sister, Mykelti Padron, took to Instagram on Sunday to cheer on the newlyweds, writing — “What a wonderful night with family. Celebrating you two and your awesome journey together makes me so happy!!!! #theyrehitched #theykissedagirlandtheylikedit #married2023 #sohappyforthem”

Mykelti posted photos revealing the large clan celebrating alongside the happy couple. Christine and fiancé, David Woolley, attended the event as did Janelle Brown and several of her children. Meri Brown was not seen in the group photo, but did post a pic snapped alongside her only child, Leon, formerly Mariah, earlier in the day.  

Kody, 54, Robyn, 44, and their five children were glaringly absent in the family shot, as was Gwen’s brother, Paedon Brown, with whom she’s shared a strained relationship for years. 

Gwen, 21, revealed months ago that the TLC polygamist would not be walking her down the aisle for her special day.

“I was thinking of just walking down the aisle, but now that I’m actually thinking about it, that’s actually kind of adorable,” she said, during an April YouTube Q&A session. “So I’m definitely gonna consider, cause that’s so cute having my brother.”

Gwen explained that she often considered her brother, Logan Brown, more of a father figure than her own dad during her childhood years. Logan is the eldest child of Kody and Janelle Brown. 

“As a kid, whenever we went to dances, like father-daughter [dances], all of the girls would choose my dad and I had a tendency of choosing Logan to represent as my father cause I wanted my little special moment,” she added.

Gwen clarified that while she wasn’t sure if Kody and Robyn would attend  her wedding, they had definitely been invited. 

“But I don’t know if they’ll want to come,” she said on YouTube in April. “We’ve kind of been like, shunned, I don’t think he wants anything to do with the rest of us. I really hope they do come.”  

Kody, 54, and Robyn, 44, did attend Logan, 29, and now-wife, Michelle Petty’s wedding in October 2022. Kody and Robyn sat on the bride’s side of the aisle only two months before Kody and Janelle announced their breakup. 

The college student openly shared about her tense relationship with her father amid the airing of the most recent season of the long-running TLC series. 

She spoke out about her parents’ split in April, after watching part 2 of the “Sister Wives Tell-All” special. 

“Expecting [my mom] to be perfect 24/7 and, like, never have any complaints is ridiculous,” she said. “That doesn’t make you a bad sister wife. You gotta complain about something. You’re not perfect.” 

Gwen called her dad a “master manipulator” after Christine told host, Sukanya Krishnan, that “venting” to her spiritual husband had earned her the title of a “bad sister wife.” 

Season 18 of “Sister Wives” premieres on  August 20 on TLC.
