‘RHONY’ Star Jessel Taank Opens Up About VOMITING at Premiere Party: “I Wish I Was Drunk”

Jessel Taank set the record straight after a report claimed that her time at the Real Housewives of New York City premiere party was spent throwing up.

The Bravo rookie noted that her illness was not alcohol induced when commenting on Page Six’s Instagram post promoting the report.

“I wish I was drunk!! Unfortunately just a stomach bug guys,” she wrote, adding, “nothing to see here.”

The 40-year-old fell ill after arriving at the Rainbow Room Wednesday night, where she proceeded to puke on a rug near the establishment’s stairs as well as in the bathroom, according to multiple eyewitnesses.

One source said—“She looked very pale and wasn’t smiling or interacting with a lot of people.”

“At one point, she sat at a table by herself to catch her breath for a bit, and people pretty much left her alone,” the insider added.

The fashion publicist was escorted out of the venue after Bravo executive,  Andy Cohen, opened the event, but vomited again before making it to the exit.

The tipster recalled — “She was holding her stomach and had her hand over her mouth.”

Network staffers reportedly steered attendees clear of the danger zone and alerted a Rainbow Room employee to clean up the mess. A source close to the reality star shared that a lack of sleep on an overseas flight may have  brought on the stomach bug.

“She had flown in from Greece the night before and was running on no sleep,” the insider shared.

The source explained — “Absolutely no alcohol was involved. It really could’ve been lack of sleep.”

Fans know that RHONY was gutted and rebuilt with a brand new cast after the most recent season ended in crashed ratings and a flood of negative fan feedback.

In March 2022, Cohen addressed the decision in an interview with Variety.

He explained — “I think that if you look at any series, where the ratings are declining week to week as the series goes on, and the viewer feedback is growing disenchanted on social media, etc. — I think that was a big red flag for us.”

RHONY OG, Ramona Singer, confirmed her exit in November 2022, after appearing as a main cast member for 13 seasons.

“I do not want to do the show any longer,” she told Page Six, at the time. “It’s not for me at this time.”

Ramona’s co-star and sidekick, Sonja Morgan, and RHONY veteran, Luann de Lesseps, are currently starring in “Welcome to Crappie Lake,” a new Bravo series modeled after “The Simple Life,” a 2003 reality show  starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.

The Real Housewives of New York City Season 14 premieres Sunday July 16 at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
