Kim Zolciak SUED For UNPAID Credit Card Bill As Divorce Gets Messy

Kim Zolciak’ is being sued for not paying her Target credit card bill. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum has a $2,482.24 balance on the account and the lawsuit claims that she has not made a payment since September 2022. 

Target National Bank filed a complaint on June 28 that alleged that Kim had “failed, neglected and refused” to pay off the principal balance, per a report  by Us Weekly. The lawsuit comes amid the former reality star’s bitter split from her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann. In May, an insider told Us that financial issues had led to the couple’s breakup.

As reported, Kroy Biermann and Kroy owed more than $1.1 million in unpaid taxes only hours before the divorce news broke.  

“The financial burdens have been a strain on their relationship,” a source claimed. “Between the tax debt and other financial stresses, it’s been difficult. The tax debt was the straw that broke the camel’s back in their marriage.”

The former NFL player went on to cite the ex Bravo star’s alleged gambling addiction as the main reason behind his decision to file for divorce. Kroy accused Kim of dropping “substantial” funds on the alleged habit, and even claimed that the behavior had hindered her ability to attentively parent their four minor children. 

The pair filed for divorce in May, and both asked the court for primary custody of the four kids, Kroy, Kash, Kaia, and Kane, along with child and spousal support. Kroy, a former player for the Atlanta Falcons, adopted Kim’s two children, Brielle, 26, and her sister, Ariana, 21, after the couple tied the knot, in 2011. 

Kroy later requested ownership of the family home as the messy split continued to unfold. Kroy filed a request to have his soon-to-be ex psychologically evaluated, claiming that her gambling problem had left her “unable to properly care for the children.” Kim asked that Kroy be required to undergo drug testing as she claimed to have witnessed the former pro athlete “smoking marijuana.” She claimed that she had “serious concerns for the safety and well being of the minor children” while in the care of their father. 

“It’s really sad the way Kroy is causing our divorce to play out in the media like this because it could have a profound effect on our children in the long run,” Kim’s lawyer said in a statement on June 13. “To continuously spread lies in an attempt to paint Kim as an unfit mother for his own gain is harmful and incredibly misleading regarding Kim’s efforts to raise her children.”

Last month, Brielle Biermann made headlines when she alleged that she was once forced to wait in a car until three o’clock in the morning as her mother gambled the night away in a North Carolina casino.

Numerous fan accounts shared the story on the platform as posted by Brielle, via Twitter.

“One time I was walking out to go to dinner [and] my mom said get in the car we’re going somewhere,” she wrote.

Brielle explained — “I was like uhhh where? She said shhh secret get in. 2 HOURS LATER we end up at [a] casino in North Carolina.”

She added — “I was 20 [and] had to stay in the car the whole time:-) We were there til 3 am.”
