Bethenny Frankel Accuses Luis Ruelas of Being A Fraudster ‘Usually There’s Smoke, There’s Fire’
Bethenny Frankel, a vocal critic of Teresa Giudice’s husband, Luis Ruelas, is not holding back when it comes to expressing her strong opinions about the controversial househusband.
During the June 20 episode of the former Real Housewives of New York City star’s podcast, ReWives with Bethenny Frankel — she mentioned that there have been multiple claims made against Luis Ruelas — including accusations from his Real Housewives of New Jersey castmate, Margaret Josephs.
Margaret Josephs alleged that Luis made a threatening phone call to her son while he was at work during the season 13 reunion. Another claim arose from Frank Catania, who stated that Luis hired a private investigator to conduct a slander campaign against him and Joe Gorga. Additionally, Joe Gorga, referred to Luis as a, “woman abuser,” during the RHONJ season 13 reunion. Luis has vehemently denied each and every one of the claims made against him.
During the podcast, Bethenny drew a comparison between Luis Ruelas and Brooks Ayers, Vicki Gunvalson’s former boyfriend. In 2015, Brooks Ayers confessed to having “forged medical documents from cancer hospital City of Hope” — essentially faking a cancer diagnosis for sympathy.
“What the hell is — why is this guy Louie all anybody talks about? Like usually there’s smoke, there’s fire. It was Brooks years ago with Vicki Gunvalson and that was, you know, there was fire there. What the hell is going on with this guy Louie and restraining orders and lawsuits? And like, there’s a lot going on,” Bethenny said during the June 20 episode.
Additionally, Bethenny expressed her curiosity to uncover more information, “how can so many people have so much against him. I don’t like this,” said the Bravo alum.
In a subsequent podcast episode aired on June 28, Bethenny revealed that she, too, had enlisted the services of Bo Dietl in the past. Years ago, she had sought Dietl’s assistance in recovering a stolen diamond ring. While Bethenny did not find Bo Dietl particularly effective in handling her case, she commended the idea if Luis Ruelas had indeed hired the former NYPD detective to conduct background checks on his RHONJ co-stars, considering it to be a smart move.
“It appears – when there’s smoke, there’s fire – that he has a decent amount to hide, he’s got some skeletons, people are concerned, I don’t know based on what – I don’t know anything about him,” said Bethenny.
Bethenny further suggested that if Luis did indeed seek Bo Dietl’s assistance in investigating the RHONJ cast — he is essentially responding to “fire with fire.”
“He’s saying ‘I walked into this and everyone has sh-t on me, so I’m getting sh-t on everybody,’” Bethenny shared.
The former Real Housewives of New York City star further added that, in her opinion, Luis appears to be an enjoyable person, and Teresa seems deeply “in love,” with him. However, Bethenny made it clear that while she holds respect for Teresa, they are not close acquaintances.
On the June 21 episode of Namaste B$tches podcast, Teresa Giudice, addressed and refuted rumors surrounding issues in her marriage. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star passionately expressed her love and adoration for her husband — emphasizing the strength of their bond. She firmly stated that she would never fabricate a storyline about relationship issues for the sake of RHONJ — affirming her commitment to authenticity.
“I don’t need a storyline, I have a lot going on,” Teresa Giudice stated.
During the June 18 episode of ReWives — Bethenny shared her perspective on Teresa’s ongoing feud with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga.
“My advice to Melissa, Joe, Teresa and Luis is they have to find a way to come together because the whole thing will be inspirational for families everywhere and they could be a big success together, it would be amazing and entertaining to watch,” said the former Bravolebrity. “Bravo is winning and they are individually losing,” asserted the mother of one.
