Kim Zolciak’s Friend BLASTS Kroy Biermann For Accusing Her of Kidnapping His Son
Kim Zolciak’s friend, Elise Humphries, is telling her side of the story after Kroy Biermann allegedly threatened to have her arrested for kidnapping.
Elise Humphries took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday to explain that Kim had given her permission to take the estranged couple’s 12-year-old son, KJ, on a rodeo outing with her daughter.
“There was zero kidnapping,” she began.
Elise Humphries wrote — “His mother Kim, who is an incredible mom and friend, gave me permission and brought him to meet me & his two best friends, one is my daughter.”
Humphries claimed that Kroy Biermann had threatened to file kidnapping charges to boost his custody case against the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum.
“[KJ’s] father, Kroy, is desperately trying to control every move to ensure he gets full custody and child support so he falsely accused me of kidnapping KJ so he can appear as the parent who takes the kids out,” she alleged.
Humphries defended Kim’s decision to call 911 on June 16 to alert authorities about the alleged incident.
“She was terrified I was going to get arrested,” she said. “Please pray for Kim and the kids because they need them while they navigate Kroy’s narcissistic, controlling behavior.”
Kim Zolciak can be heard telling the 911 dispatcher that her son had been “shaking and hysterically crying” in a recording of the call, as reported by TMZ.
Kim Zolciak said that she planned to pick up her “very distraught” son from Humphries, after turning down police support. Insiders told TMZ that the former NFL star overreacted about the playdate because he did not trust Humphries. Sources added that Humphries hung up on Kroy when he called her to bring KJ home.
The playdate drama adds yet another chapter to the ex-couple’s messy breakup.
Kroy Biermann, 37, was the first to file for divorce, on May 5. Kim, 45, submitted her own filing on May 8. Radar Online obtained a police report in early May that described a fight that went down behind closed doors, ahead of the filed divorce petitions. Kim and Kroy had been married for almost 12 years when they decided to call it quits.
The “Don’t Be Tardy” alums share four children together. Kroy also adopted Kim’s adult daughters, Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21, in 2013.
The former Atlanta Falcons linebacker alleged that Kim has a gambling problem that had financially devastated the family. Kroy also claimed that their six kids needed protection from their mother, due to her purportedly “abusive” behavior.
Kim Zolciak’s lawyer responded in a statement to PEOPLE, earlier this month.
“It’s really sad the way Kroy is causing our divorce to play out in the media like this because it could have a profound effect on our children in the long run,” the statement read. “To continuously spread lies in an attempt to paint Kim as an unfit mother for his own gain is harmful and incredibly misleading regarding Kim’s efforts to raise her children.”
