Dog the Bounty Hunter Shocks Fans with the Revelation of His Secretly Fathered Son
Duane Chapman, also known as “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” has revealed that he’s the father of a recently discovered son named, Jon.
On Monday, which marked the four-year anniversary of his late wife, Beth Chapman’s death, Duane posted a photo of Jon standing alongside his wife, Jodi. He explained that the day held “new meaning” due to the discovery of his son, who was born on the same date.
Dog the Bounty Hunter captioned the post — “For the last four years, this day was a terrible reminder of one of the greatest losses of my life.”
He continued — “But God redeemed this day when I discovered my son Jon, who I just met recently, was born on this day.”
“So now instead of sorrow, this day has a new meaning. This is my son Jon and his wife Jodi,” he shared. “For anyone who has suffered a terrible loss please know God restores and redeems.”
Dog the Bounty Hunter concluded — “Happy birthday son, love you both.”
The “Dog’s Most Wanted” reality star is now the father of 13 children from multiple marriages and past relationships.
Duane got engaged to his current wife, Francie Frane, ten months after losing Beth to stage 2 throat cancer, in June 2019. The couple exchanged vows in September 2021, in Colorado, in front of friends and family.
“We appreciate the support and well-wishes as we begin our life together,” Duane told Page Six at the time.
Duane and Beth shared two children together, Bonnie Joanne Chapman, 24, and Garry Chapman, 22.
Bonnie did not attend the fall nuptials, as she had openly accused her father of being racist and homophobic.
“I have expressed time and time again my ever-growing disappointment in my father’s progression into his old racist ways,” Bonnie wrote on Facebook in August 2021. “I had forgiven my father after my mother’s death for countless actions that I shouldn’t have.”
Bonnie went on to accuse “Dog” of cheating on his late wife.
“He would cheat on my mom all the time, and I hated him every time he did it, but I forgave him for that because I wanted a relationship with my dad,” she wrote, in part. “I thought I had only one parent left. I was left with the racist and homophobic parents.”
Bonnie added — “My mother was a shining light in the void. I can no longer watch someone diminish her light with his hatred.”
Bonnie alleged that Duane had a fling with “a friend” of Beth’s while her mother was in the hospital. She also claimed that her father had “silenced” and “threatened [her] with physical violence” during her childhood.
Duane denied that he was racist and claimed that he had been granted a “pass” by his black friends to say the n-word.
“I thought I had a pass in the black tribe to use it, kind of like Eminem,” he added.
