Wendi Kong Opens Up About Her Messy Breakup With ‘Love is Blind’ Star Paul Peden
Love is Blind season 4 cast member, Wendi Kong, is opening up about her relationship with co-star, Paul Peden.
The 28-year-old aerospace engineer detailed the fling on Out of the Pods podcast hosted by season 2 Love is Blind stars, Natalie Lee and Deepti Vempati.
On the podcast’s 13th episode, “The Lost Stories of Love is Blind Season 4,” Wendi Kong shared that the 29-year-old environmental scientist pursued her while he was engaged to Micah Lussier.
“Paul and I, we had this incredible psychological attraction for each other in the pods almost to the point where it was like we felt narcissistic,” she explained. When he came back to Seattle (from Mexico), we reconnected, and we had to disconnect for a bit because his focus was on Micah, and he needed to see that through.”
As Love is Blind fans would know, Paul refused to marry Micah Lussier, leaving the 27-year-old marketing professional in tears. At season four’s dramatic reunion, Paul and Micah told hosts, Nick and Vaness Lachey, that they tried to rekindle their relationship when filming wrapped.
The ex-couple’s relationship became difficult following Micah’s move to Arizona, leading the Love is Blind alums to break up for good.
According to Wendi, she and Paul reconnected following his break-up with Micah Lussier.
“After the wedding happened, we actually reconnected again, and it was just like a lot of talking,” she said. She further explained that the two hung out a few times and had many conversations.

Paul has since moved on from both women. The Love is Blind star went public with his girlfriend, Geneva Dunham, in May. While it’s unclear how long they have been dating, the couple appears to be in love.
Micah posted a cryptic message on her Instagram account, several days after Paul went public with Geneva. The Love is Blind star posted a video on the social media app with the caption, “truly I have never felt happier, lighter, and more in tune with myself. Sometimes you have to hit the lowest lows to get where you need to be # mentalhealthawarenessmonth.” Press play below to listen.
