‘Selling Sunset’ Star Chrishell Stause and Lesbian Wife, G Flip, Plan to Renew Wedding Vows Every Year
G Flip and Selling Sunset star, Chrishell Stause, are so in love that they plan on having a marriage ceremony every year.
The Australian singer made the romantic revelation in an interview with The Viall Files podcast.
“We plan to do a ceremony every single year. Why would you just do it once? In different locations with different amounts of people,” the 29-year-old singer explained. “You celebrate your birthday once a year and when you’re married you’re with this person every day, so why don’t you celebrate that once a year?”
After one year of dating, the couple announced their wedding in May, surprising fans. Opting for a less traditional ceremony, the lovebirds tied the knot in an intimate Las Vegas wedding — with a small group of close friends watching as the couple exchanged vows.
Fans questioned whether the couple’s marriage was legal, accusing them of doing it for attention. The 41-year-old Selling Sunset star addressed the accusations, admitting that their wedding isn’t legal — but they considered themselves married regardless.
“But to be honest with you, we knew if we did it, we would also hear people say, ‘Oh, you know, G wants a green card.’ Where it’s like G already has a passport, a visa,” she explained with frustration during an appearance on SiriusXM Hits 1 LA with Tony Fly and Symon.
“Adding, “it doesn’t matter what we do for the rest of our lives, we’re gonna hear criticism, so we decided we are always just gonna do exactly what we wanna do, and I’m not out here to try and prove people how serious it is or how meaningful it was.”
While it’s unclear when the couple officially became romantically involved, Chrishell Stause confirmed she was in a relationship with the pop singer, who identifies as non-binary, at the Selling Sunset season 5 reunion.
“I recently have been spending a lot of time with someone that’s very important to me. Their name is G Flip. They’re nonbinary, so they go by they/them, and they are an extremely talented musician,” she confessed to her co-stars, including ex-boyfriend and boss Jason Oppenheim.
The couple was recently rocked by break-up rumors when fans noticed that Chrishell Stause was no longer wearing her wedding ring. The Selling Sunset star promptly shut down the rumors via Instagram, reassuring fans that she was still happily married –blaming weight gain for the missing ring.
“It’s not going to be for what you would think; I’m happily married. Very happy. But I’m not wearing my ring because I’ve gained weight,” she explained. “Anyways, long story short, if you see me without my ring, listen, I’m living my best life, and yeah, that’s why.”
