Ramona Singer’s Daughter Faces Backlash for Blaming ‘RHONY’ Fame for Not Finding A Job

Avery Singer was hit with backlash after claiming that her struggle to find a job was due to her Real Housewives of New York City fame. Avery is the daughter of RHONY OG, Ramona Singer and her ex-husband, Mario Singer.

The 28-year-old recently appeared on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, where she described her predicament to host, David Yontef. Avery explained that she’s been working to build a career while staying out of the reality TV spotlight.

“There are many Bravo kids that ride their mom’s coattails that are like a wannabe Kylie Jenner, all duck-faced, posting,” she noted.

“I have taken a backseat from the show for an extremely long time because I worked at Morgan Stanley. Like most of my finance career, I couldn’t get jobs because of me being associated with the TV show,” Avery said.

Ramona Singer’s daughter was asked to give an update on her current relationship with Bravo.

She said — “I don’t watch Bravo period. I’ve never seen a lot of the shows. I’m now starting a company and I did most of that by myself.”

The college grad recently launched a business that specializes in planning bachelorette parties.

Lots of listeners were not impressed with Avery’s sob story and took to Reddit to sound off.

One user kicked off the discussion, writing — “Avery Singer Claims She Couldn’t Get a Job Because of RHONY,” adding a laughing emoji.

Another fan snarked — “Oh well, guess she can’t be a second-generation maven and businesswoman like her mother!”

One user pointed out — “It’s rich that she’s hating on Bravo when she went on WWHL to shill her ‘boss babe’ Bach party business.”

Another chimed in — “This right here. There are other HW kids who have gone on to have good careers, and Avery isn’t one of them. Is it because of ROHNY? No, I don’t think so. It’s because the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, let’s put it that way.”

One person called Avery “just like her mother,” who supposedly embraces a “victim mentality.”

Another quipped — “Lmao couldn’t be that she’s an a**hole, nah def not that.”

Ramona revealed that she was leaving RHONY in November 2022, after appearing as a main cast member for 13 seasons.

“I do not want to do the show any longer,” she told Page Six, at the time. “It’s not for me at this time.”

Fans know that RHONY was revamped with a brand new cast after the show’s ratings nosedived and negative fan feedback flooded social media.

In March 2022, Bravo executive, Andy Cohen, addressed the decision in an interview with Variety.

He explained — “I think that if you look at any series, where the ratings are declining week to week as the series goes on, and the viewer feedback is growing disenchanted on social media, etc. — I think that was a big red flag for us.”

Ramona Singer’s partner in crime, Sonja Morgan, and co-star, Luann de Lesseps, are set to star in “Welcome to Crappie Lake,” a new Bravo series modeled after “The Simple Life,” a 2003 reality series starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.
