Former NFL Teammate of Kroy Biermann Considers His Divorce From Kim Zolciak a ‘Victory’ 

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver, Mack Hollins, recently shared his thoughts on Kroy Biermann’s bitter divorce from Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Kim Zolciak.

“I hate to hear that. Maybe it’s a win. I don’t know the scoop,” the NFL star told Page Six on June 20 at the Cannes Lions Festival. Hollins admitted to not knowing Biermann or Zolciak while expressing interest in the Real Housewives of Potomac. “Maybe it’s a win for him. Is she good? Is she not good?,” the 29-year-old Maryland native said of the reality couple’s decision to end their marriage.

As All About The Tea reported, Kim and Kroy filed to end their marriage following news of the estranged couple’s ongoing financial troubles. The Don’t Be Tardy For The Party alums owe $1.1 million plus interest to the IRS and $15,000 to the state of Georgia. Kroy blames their financial woes on Kim’s gambling addiction — claiming her habit has decimated the family.  

Earlier this year, the former lovebirds pushed back on reports suggesting their luxury Georgia mansion was in foreclosure. Kim’s daughters, Brielle and Ariana, also said the rumors were false. However, legal documents have since revealed that the family is in a lot of financial trouble.

The reality stars’ ongoing divorce battle has taken an ugly turn, with Kim and Kroy taking the media to attack each other. While Kim Zolciak has accused Kroy Biermann of being a lousy parent and excessive marijuana smoker, Kroy has accused his 45-year-old ex-wife of losing the family’s savings due to her gambling addiction and being an unfit mother to the couple’s minor children.

Sources close to the ex-couple have reportedly said there’s no hope for reconciliation for the Bravo stars, who filed to end their union in May 2023 after 11 years of marriage and four children.

The ex-couple’s financial turmoil continues as BMW Financial Services is in the process of repossessing Kroy’s Rolls-Royce Cullinan, valued at $400,100 for defaulting on his loan. The legal document filed by the financial company indicates that Kroy  owes a total amount of $221,763.57.

The 37-year-old former NFL linebacker turned reality star blamed the unfortunate situation on his ex-wife, stating through his attorney, Marlys Bergstrom, that Kim was reckless in managing their finances.

“Mr. Biermann never imagined that he would find himself in this position, having a car repossessed,” the lawyer told TMZ. “But this is the fallout when folks find themselves spending way beyond their means. Kroy retired and no longer receives that NFL salary. … I don’t think anyone told Kim,” Bergstorm said.

In addition to their mounting financial issues, the former couple are also embroiled in a heated custody battle. In Kroy’s divorce petition, he’s requesting complete control of their four minor children, giving Kim visitation rights and labeling her mentally unstable. Kim has also requested full custody.
