Dorit Kemsley SUED For Not Paying Nurse Who Helped ‘RHOBH’ Star with Plastic Surgery
Dorit Kemsley has been hit with a lawsuit filed by a private nurse who claims that she was not paid after caring for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star following a plastic surgery procedure.
Natalie Vanderstay sued the reality star earlier this year, according to court documents obtained by Radar Online. The nurse demanded that Dorit cough up $8600 in damages.
Natalie stated — “I am a private duty nurse and I provided medical services for [Dorit]. [Dorit] had plastic surgery and hired my services for day and overnight care to monitor and assess her pain, administration of medications and treatments (as directed per her physician’s orders). As well, as address all her medical needs and concerns.”
She added — “I submitted an invoice to [Dorit] after my services were completed and [Dorit] has refused to pay me.”
Natalie noted that she determined what she was owed “by the hours I worked at my hourly rate of $100. I worked 86 hours at $100 an hour, which totals $8,600.”
The private nurse appeared at an April hearing held to address the issue, but Dorit was not present. Natalie confirmed that the Bravo star was served with legal documents despite her absence in court.
The judge ordered that Dorit pay Natalie $8,675 during the hearing. The medical professional is now demanding that Dorit appear in court and provide financial records so she can recoup her lost income.
Dorit’s husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, has had to navigate his own legal battles over the years. In 2022, PK settled a longstanding debt with Las Vegas casino, Bellagio.
In January 2022, the owners of the famed hotspot notified the court that PK had paid $2.27 million, satisfying his debt.
It took nearly a decade for the businessman to pay off the $3.6 million casino marker.
The establishment sued PK in 2013, alleging that he had missed a payment on the installment agreement hashed out between the two parties. Bellagio claimed that PK came through with $875k before filing bankruptcy in the United Kingdom. The casino said that they were never told about the bankruptcy filing and the legal war continued after PK’s received discharge did not apply to the debt.
A settlement that required PK to make regular payments was reached, but the casino claimed in court that he stopped making payments in June 2018. Bellagio demanded that PK pay the outstanding balance in full. The casino then advanced a plan to garnish PK’s wages until the debt was satisfied.
