Kate Gosselin gave her son, Collin, the cold shoulder during his high school graduation while taking photos with her other child, according to a report by the U.S. Sun.
Collin graduated alongside his sister, Hannah, and Kate, her ex, Jon, and his ex-girlfriend, Colleen, all attended the ceremony. Kate posed for photos with Hannah during the event but never interacted with her estranged son, Collin, according to the outlet’s source.
The insider said — “Kate has some nerve showing up at the graduation and giving only Hannah love.”
The tipster went on — “Kate has some nerve showing up at the graduation and giving only Hannah love.”
“Despite coming to the graduation it seemed more about her than the graduation itself. Kate didn’t even clap when Hannah or Collin’s names were read and they collected their diplomas.”
The source claimed — “Kate was walking around taking photos of herself – she literally was taking selfies. One of their siblings Leah joined Kate. Hannah and Alexis are very close, but she didn’t make it.”
A snitch previously alleged that Jon was aware that Kate would be attending the graduation, because she and Hannah had recently reconciled.
Jon, 46, and Kate, 48, reportedly did not speak during the graduation festivities, which took place at a Pennsylvania high school.
A source said — “Jon was super proud to see his kids graduate, they’ve all been through a lot these past few years so it was a really nice family celebration.”
The insider continued — “Jon and the kids arrived at the graduation in Collin’s brand new convertible Mustang. They were all smiles and ready to graduate. Collin and Hannah looked like best friends.”
“Jon wanted it to be a day to remember and threw a huge BBQ cooking up a storm. Friends and family came to celebrate,” the source revealed.
The source noted Kate’s presence at the milestone event.
“Kate showed up, which was a bit of a surprise considering she truly has been missing from most of Collin’s adult life and barely sees Hannah,” the insider said.
The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 couple battled for custody of the sextuplets after their 2009 divorce. The fight ended for good when the group turned 18. Jon won custody of Hannah and Collin, and Kate was awarded custody of the other four kids, Leah, Alexis, Aaden, and Joel.
Jon previously described how Hannah reconnected with her mother and the siblings under her care, Alexis, Leah, Joel and Aeden, on the group’s 19th birthday.
In May, Jon revealed that he would not be attending his four other children’s graduations as they were not on speaking terms. He added that he hopes that one day he can have a relationship with the four young adults as well as his 22-year-old twins, Mady and Cara.
“I will never give up trying to talk to my children. I’m hoping with social media that maybe they might reach out to me at some point,” he previously told The U.S. Sun.
“The door is always open to rekindle any kind of relationship. I’ve tried for years for any interaction with any of my other kids, but nothing yet.”
