Shocking Revelation: Wendy Williams Is Near Death Due to Alcoholism

Wendy Williams’ only child, Kevin Hunter Jr, is afraid that his mother’s alcohol abuse will soon end her life.

Kevin Hunter Jr. spoke to the U.S. Sun about his mother’s downward spiral and took aim at her inner circle, blasting her team for allegedly taking advantage of the former host’s wealth, fame and weakness amid her fight with severe alcoholism.

Kevin told the outlet that his mother’s physical and emotional health has been on the decline ever since she was placed in a guardianship, in 2022. He believes that the people around her are more concerned with her money   than her well-being.

“I know there are all sorts of things happening that I know in her right mind she would never agree to,” he explained. “As hard as it is seeing her being taken advantage of, I know that if I’m making sure she, as a person, is okay, that is the important thing.”

The college student continued — “Because eventually, she’s going to realize the craziness that’s been going on.”

“What’s been made more important by the people around her is that while her health may not be great, she needs to keep on earning income, and in my opinion that should not be a priority at all,” he said. “And whoever has been hired, they are taking advantage of someone who needs to get better.”

Kevin further alleged that the people surrounding the former chat show host exploited her alcoholism when they pressed her to sign contracts while in rehab, last summer.

“I feel that when it comes to people wanting to ‘help’ her, a lot of it is coming from a stance of, ‘OK, she’s alone now,’” he said.

“‘Let’s try to see how we can make her act the way we want her to act or if we can kind of control the rate at which she’s handling herself.’”

Wendy’s manager, Will Selby, hit back at the 22-year-old, telling the outlet that the “majority” of Kevin’s statements were not true.

“I was in Miami with Kevin. I forced him to have a conversation because he seemed a little disgruntled,” Selby said, seemingly referring to Kevin losing his mom’s financial support, which led to an eviction from his $2 million apartment.

Selby continued — “I spoke to him face-to-face, 1,000 percent. I was like, ‘If there’s a problem, let’s talk. If there’s an issue, let’s have a conversation.’”

“There is so much here that is inaccurate, it’s really not worth me commenting,” the manager added.

Wendy’s rep, Shawn Zanotti noted the “false narratives” making the rounds on the internet, writing in a statement to Entertainment Tonight—“We ask that the world continues to pray for the well-being of Wendy as she continues to recover from a very traumatic two years.”

Wendy, 58, was spotted drinking by Page Six tipsters in March, only a few months after exiting rehab. The former daytime diva raised eyebrows when she began selling off her possessions inside her NYC penthouse, which was characterized as a “spring cleaning.” In May, she abruptly withdrew from a speaking engagement at the Atlanta Women’s Expo and was reportedly later hospitalized, a claim that Wendy’s rep denied, at the time.

“I can confirm that Wendy Williams is not in the hospital, as reported. I can also confirm she is not in New York,” Zanotti told Page Six, at the time.

Kevin confirmed the hospitalization and revealed that he learned about his mother’s health crisis from Selby, in mid-May.

Kevin claimed that no one from Wendy’s team alerted him when she was released from the hospital. He also confirmed that he did not know his mother’s current whereabouts.

“I’m praying that whoever is in control now doesn’t ruin whatever hope there is for her to get back up again,” he said.
