Inside Jeff Bezos’ Lavish $600K Monthly Rental of a Luxury Mansion for Lauren Sanchez

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez are renting a Malibu beach home for a jaw-dropping $600k a month, TMZ reports. In March, the couple signed a lease for Kenny G’s lavish Malibu compound, where they will live as they wait out the construction of their enormous Beverly Hills estate.

The outlet cited sources that dished that the rental price did not include furniture. Jeff and Lauren reportedly moved their own furnishings into the home, as Kenny G’s furniture is currently in storage. The couple is set to pay over $7 million a year for the musician’s digs while awaiting the completion of their own sprawling compound.

The 5,500 square-foot house sits on 2 1/2 acres and boasts a massive backyard, a pool, a screening room, a recording studio, a 3,500 square-foot guesthouse, and access to the exclusive Little Dume Beach.

The Amazon founder’s current net worth tops $140 billion.

Meanwhile, Bezos celebrated his engagement to Sanchez last weekend at La Petite Maison in Cannes, France, where the billionaire purchased a $4,285  bottle of Dugat-Py Grand Cru wine from Domaine Bernard, to mark the occasion.

While no one was shocked to hear that Bezos dropped over $4k for a bottle of wine, wine experts pointed out that this particular batch of red wine typically sells for a much lower price tag.

Parcelle Wine, a Lower East Side-based shop, wrote on Instagram—”Wine fact of the day: Bezos knows less than you and got mega ripped off in France.”

The New York Post reported that the same Burgundy sold for just $647.29 at an auction on March 3, 2022. The price even included a 20% buyer’s premium.

“The wine, Chambertin, is from the fabled Chambertin vineyard in the Cote D’Or section in Burgundy. This vineyard is one of the most revered in the world,” a North Fork wholesale wine expert told the news outlet, adding that the producer, Dugat-Py, “makes about 220 bottles of it a year, about one barrel.”

It wasn’t long before Instagram users began mocking Bezos’ boozy gaffe in the comments section of the wine shop’s post.

“LOL what did he think he was ordering, Rousseau Chambertin?” one user commented, to which Parcelle replied—“Love is blind.”

Another user pointed out — “This explains Amazon’s shitty wine selection.”

Bezos reportedly enjoyed his pricey purchase with sister, Christina Bezos Poore and her husband, Steve Poore, in a gazebo overlooking the Mediterranean.
