As the divorce saga between Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak rages on, new details are emerging. The mother of six made it appear as if she filed for divorce first, however, the truth reveals a different story.

In a twist, it was Kroy Biermann who beat his estranged wife to the punch by filing first, leaving everyone wondering just how far she went to manipulate the narrative.

Court documents reveal that Kroy Biermann filed for divorce on May 5, followed by Kim Zolciak submitting a separate filing on May 8. 

In the court filing, Kroy claims that Kim’s out-of-control gambling habit has bankrupt the family and impacted her ability to care for their minor children, prompting him to seek sole custody and child support. The ongoing dispute between the two continues to raise concerns about the well-being of their kids.

In the court document, Kroy mentions that Kim has acknowledged:

“Spending substantial time and marital funds on gambling and other games of chance. This compulsion has financially devastated the parties. [Kim’s] time is so consumed with online gambling that she is unable to properly care for the children.”

Kroy Biermann’s divorce petition listed November 11, 2011, as the start date of the marriage. The documents stated that the marriage is “irretrievably broken,” indicating that the couple’s relationship was past the point of a possible reconciliation. The petition listed the ex-couple’s date of separation as April 30.

Their divorce proceedings quickly turned ugly with allegations being levied from both sides. In the latest development, Kroy demands for Kim to undergo a mental evaluation. This request comes in response to Kim’s previous plea for Kroy to undergo a drug test.

Kroy expressed concerns about Kim’s escalating and concerning behavior in the months preceding his decision to file for divorce. He emphasized the need for a psychological evaluation, citing these concerns as the basis for his request.

The estranged couple share four children together: Kroy Jagger “KJ” (born 2011), Kash Kade (born 2012), and twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren (born 2013). In March 2013, Kroy filed to adopt Zolciak’s older daughters — Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21.

On Friday, the former NFL player didn’t hold back as he took a direct jab at his estranged wife through a sly Instagram Story. The cryptic message featured a cartoon character with a blonde ponytail and conveyed the words, “Don’t be so obvious.” This seemingly pointed out Kim’s love for the spotlight and hinted at her potential interest in securing another reality TV gig. The social media post adds fuel to the ongoing drama between the two personalities.

One day prior, Kim Zolciak, 45, and her kids did an impromptu carpool karaoke session to Luke Combs’s heartbreak anthem “Love You Anyway.”
