Joe Giudice Takes Aim At Melissa and Joe Gorga Over False Claims
Joe Giudice seemingly took aim at his former in-laws on social media when he posted a vague message pointing to kids who remember “who showed up.”
Melissa Gorga credited herself and husband, Joe Gorga, for providing for Joe and Teresa Giudice’s children during Teresa’s year-long prison stint, in a previous episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. She later explained that their involvement in a brief spinoff series allowed Joe to bring in income for the couple’s four daughters.
Teresa Giudice and Joe’s girls shaded Melissa after she made the remark, claiming that they had no memory of Melissa’s involvement in their daily lives, during the difficult time.
Teresa’s ex appeared to diss the couple in a quote posted on his Instagram Story, which read — “Kids will always remember who showed up. Not who made a Facebook post,” “or who texted once or twice a year.”
“They will remember who bothered to rearrange their schedule, to make inconvenient choices, and who made them a priority.”
The cryptic post appeared to be aimed at Joe and Melissa Gorga, who have been regularly clashing with Teresa on the show.
Melissa addressed comments made by her niece, Gabriella Giudice, which were featured on the February 21 episode, during a subsequent appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
The episode featured Teresa, Gabriella and her sister, Gia, discussing the couple’s involvement in the lives of their four nieces during Teresa’s time behind bars.
“I think it’s super selfish when any mother brings a child into a conversation like this. I’m sorry. It’s a selfish thing to have them comment on it. [Gabriella]’s my godchild,” Melissa said.
The episode also featured Gia Giudice admitting that she wished that her mom hadn’t offered Melissa a late invitation to serve as one of her bridesmaids. Melissa shot down the idea that Teresa’s gesture was heartfelt.
Melissa explained — “No, I was just like, ‘Get out of here.’ It was to save face. I don’t need to save face. She doesn’t need to either, anymore.”
Host, Andy Cohen, asked the reality star to share how she felt after watching her niece claim that the pair had only showed up for her and her sisters for Bravo cameras.
Melissa admitted that the comment “hurts to even hear” and Joe agreed, commenting — “Exactly what she said.”
Later that same month, Melissa claimed to have proof that some unidentified individuals had been on the hunt for information about the Bravo couple.
“It’s getting scary if we’re being honest guys. There’s some scary s*** and like a lot of the stuff that we previously read that we discarded, I am now no longer going to discard because I’m starting to believe that this may be true and it’s actually very scary,” Melissa claimed in part, during a February episode of her “On Display with Melissa Gorga” podcast. “It’s something that we want to stay very far away from. I think even the writing is on the wall with just the actions, I have never seen [Joe’s] sister act this way on this show, outside of the show, ever. She’s never rallied like this.”
Joe, who sat alongside his wife for the eyebrow-raising podcast, added that he was “not going to mention names but someone’s going around digging about [him].”
