Matthew told listeners that he refused to strip for a director and lost a role in a Marvel film as a result. The 43-year-old didn’t identify the person who made the demand but confirmed that the man was “very prominent” in the industry.

“I lost my agency because I went to the hotel room — which I can’t believe they would send me to — of a very prominent Oscar award-winning director who showed up in his robe, asked me to take my clothes off and said he needed to take Polaroids of me,” Matthew claimed.

“If I did X, Y and Z, I would be the next Marvel character,” he alleged.

Matthew told his co-hosts and brothers, Joey Lawrence and Andrew Lawrence, that he was later “fired” by his agency.

“Not a lot of guys, in my opinion, have come out and talked about this in the industry,” the Mrs. Doubtfire actor said, adding that he had been “propositioned to get a major role … many times” in his life.

Matthew went on the acknowledge that his experience was about “a third of what women go through.”

He continued — “Men go through this as well, whether it’s another woman or another man in power. I think our society is less ready to hear that situation is going on with men than they are with women.”

Joey shared that he had also “lost out on a lot of … big movie parts” after  finding himself at “those crossroads.”

Matthew gave kudos to Terry Crews for speaking out about his own sexual assault experience, in November 2017. The “America’s Got Talent” host revealed on Twitter that a “high level Hollywood executive … groped” him at a “function” the previous year. The “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” actor went on to identify the man in question as William Morris Endeavor executive Adam Venit.

Crews filed a lawsuit against the agent in December 2017. Crews and Venit agreed to a settlement in September 2018.
