‘Sister Wives’ Star Meri Brown Moving From Arizona Back To Utah After Split From Kody
Meri Brown, 52, is leaving Kody and Flagstaff, Arizona in the dust to presumably run her business, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, in Parowan, Utah. Online records list Parowan as the reality star’s new personal and business address.
Meri’s Arizona home was listed for rent on Zillow, on Monday, April 24. The listing states that the home will be available for occupancy on May 15, for a monthly $5800.
The ex-couple posted a joint statement on January 10 on their respective Instagram pages.
The statement read — “After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship. During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect toward each other and to all the members of our family, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace and love.”
Meri added that she held “no animosity toward Kody.”
She wrote — “I am not, and pray that I never will be, in a place where I will enjoy making, or seeing you make, rude and demeaning comments about him.”
Kody declared during the December 2022 Sister Wives: Tell All that he did not “consider [himself] to be married to be Meri” Meri confirmed during her own segment that Kody was the one who “made the decision” to end things.
Meri went on to explain that she believed that they had been working to salvage their broken relationship.
“Even since being in Flagstaff, he has led me to believe that he was trying,” she revealed. “You know, our first anniversary that we had here in Flagstaff, it was cheers to a new beginning as opposed to this last anniversary he’s like, ‘I don’t even know why you called me Meri.’”
She continued — “He’s like, ‘We’re not married. We’re not acting as married.’ I said to him, ‘Then if that’s where we are, don’t you think that we should address that publicly?’ And he said, ‘No I don’t want to address it. I don’t want that to be out there publicly because I don’t want that judgment.’”
The TLC star shared her frustration with host, Sukanya Krishnan, comparing her situation to the bombshell breakup between Kody and his third wife, Christine.
Kody’s first wife said—“It just doesn’t make sense to me that he would be so frustrated with Christine, and be like, ‘She just made this decision,’ We didn’t consult, we didn’t talk, she just made the decision, and then he says, ‘No, I don’t consider myself married to Meri.’ Like, he just made the decision. I’ve never heard him say that to me.”
Meri has embraced her new life as a single woman in the months since announcing the split, posting smiling selfies on social media and enjoying time with friends.
