Audrey Roloff’s House In Shambles, They’re Struggling to Make Ends Meet
Audrey Roloff addressed a common fan question on her Instagram Stories when she spoke out about the condition of her large farmhouse. The Little People, Big World personality responded to a fan who asked — “Any updates on your home.”
Audrey, wife of Jeremy Roloff, admitted that a complete home renovation was financially impossible.
She wrote — “Home renovations are insanely expensive right now. It has us feeling a little stuck with what we want to prioritize because the house needs so much… but we can’t do even close to it all.”
The mom of three continued — “The house was a fixer and we saw the potential and vision… but one year later the cost of making that vision come to life is harder than we anticipated it to be.”
The 31-year-old added — “Not to mention all of the not so fun things that need fixing, HVAC, well, deck is falling apart and not safe, roof.”
Audrey went on to describe the home’s interior issues, painting a clearer picture of the couple’s predicament.
She said — “The layout of our house is rough with only three bedrooms downstairs and us wanting to grow our family… it still has the previous owners’ smells baked into the carpet and dry walls.”
The social media influencer added — “The kitchen cabinetry is peeling and there are stains and sticky spots we can’t get clean no matter how hard we try. And of course it’s all super dated.”
Audrey wrapped her thoughts by reminding her followers that she was thankful for her home base.
She wrote — “I’m not saying any of this to complain we are so grateful to be here but I also don’t want to sugarcoat ‘what comes with the territory’ of buying a fixer on land.”
Audrey and Jeremy bought the Hillsboro, Oregon two story farmhouse, which was built in 1979, in May 2022, for an estimated $1.5 million.
The property has four acres of green hills and boasts beautiful mountain views. The 4,414 square-foot house provides lots of space for the growing family with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Jeremy and Audrey reportedly dropped $700k on renovations after closing on the property.
The couple also previously purchased a cabin as a vacation rental investment. Jeremy and Audrey bought the property in September 2021 for $750k under a trust and LLC, per a report by the U.S. Sun. The three-bed, four-bath, 2,961 square foot home sits on half an acre. The cabin is currently listed on Airbnb for $312-$412 a night, depending on the season.
The duo gave their Instagram followers regular inside looks at the property as they fixed it up for future renters.
Some fans sounded off after the couple listed the rental cabin, with one commenting — “$412/night…..bit much no?”
Another critic said — “They want over $400/night for the cabin. I’m sorry, but I know of a lot more places like this for A LOT LESS. What are they trying to do? I’m sorry…but they are too ridiculous.”
