Wendy Williams’ Ex-Husband Kevin Hunter Suing Man Over Gay Relationship Claims
Wendy Williams’ ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, plans to file a defamation lawsuit after being accused of abuse during an alleged affair with a singer. Hunter is calling the claims untrue and outdated.
Falstar, whose real name is Aveon Williams, alleged that he was in a sexually abusive relationship with Hunter, during a 2019 interview with a blogger, Tasha K., on her YouTube show, Unwine with Tasha K. The blogger seemingly revived and recirculated the interview on Friday.
“I am preparing for a defamation lawsuit. Anybody that knows me, and this is no disrespect to LGBTQ community, they know where I’m at with it,” Kevin Hunter told the U.S. Sun.
He added — “I am a straight alpha male.”
Kevin Hunter told the outlet that he didn’t pay attention to Falstar’s interview at the time, because he was embroiled in his divorce from Wendy.
“Everyone was trying to discredit my character at the time, and Falstar has since said he’s sorry,” Hunter said.
Hunter slammed the YouTuber for rehashing the rumor, declaring — “I am preparing my legal team, because three years later, she wants to unearth something that is inaccurate because why, it’s a slow Friday?”
Wendy’s ex claimed that his business relationship with Falstar went south as he was trying to help him to progress as a singer. He explained that he believed that Falstar saw an opportunity to spin a “cockamamie story” as drama swirled in Hunter’s personal life, during his relationship with pregnant mistress, Sharina Hudson, and divorce from the famous chat show host.
Hunter shared that he didn’t think that Falstar would respond to the rewound rumor except to perhaps apologize for a second time. He said that the interview was rereleased because his ex had been making headlines in recent weeks.
Falstar alleged in the 2019 interview — “It wasn’t just a sexual relationship. It was much more of an abusive relationship.”
He claimed — “It was much more of a put me down and keep me as your boy toy relationship. We did [have sex] … He came over and practically raped me at 3 o’clock in the morning.”
Falstar claimed that Hunter had ignored a “pre-suit” letter sent over by his attorneys.
Page Six spoke to Hunter’s attorney at the time, who shot down Falstar’s allegations.
The statement read — “The claims levied by Mr. Aveon Williams against Mr. Kevin Hunter are baseless and are completely false. Mr. Williams’ actions are part of an elaborate scheme to extort money from Mr. Hunter and is nothing more than an attempt to shake him down for financial gain.”
“This office did not offer to settle this matter for any amount nor did we counter their offer as, in accordance with our own independent investigation of these claims, we determined that Mr. Williams’ claims were without merit and we will not allow our client to be extorted by Mr. Williams.”
