Bethenny Frankel Diss ‘Obsessive’ Luann de Lesseps After Close-Call Run-In

Real Housewives of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel took a jab at her former castmate, Luann de Lesseps, after the two nearly had a run-in at a Broadway show in late March.

According to an insider who spoke to Page Six, Luann de Lesseps left the opening night of “Bad Cinderella,” after discovering she was seated near Bethenny. However, the singer later clarified that she had departed with her date due to not feeling well.

On her podcast ReWives this week, Bethenny Frankel  addressed the situation by saying, “respond by saying this: It must be painful and challenging and really obsessive to be so fixated on someone else.”

The 52-year-old Skinnygirl founder expressed her sympathy for the “Countess Cabaret” star, who she believes is evidently in a difficult position, “spends a lot of time talking about [her] in her cabaret and in the media and on podcasts.”

“It’s time to sort of focus on yourself versus being so consumed with somebody else,” Bethenny shared.

“I wish her the very, very best, and I wish her a speedy recovery if she didn’t feel well during ‘Bad Cinderella’ halfway through.”

Attending the musical with her 12-year-old daughter, Bryn HoppyBethenny stated that she mentioned Luann because her fans were asking for her reaction to what was reported as a highly charged departure from the event.

Bethenny emphasized that the 57-year-old former countess is not someone she actively thinks about and isn’t on her radar.

The former Bravo TV stars, who played a significant role in launching RHONY back in 2008, have a well-documented history of animosity.

In 2019, when Bethenny Frankel initially departed from the reality series, Luann expressed relief as it meant that she was no longer dealing with her adversary, “breathing room for other women to shine and show their personalities because a lot was Bethenny coming in and stealing the show.”

The “Feelin’ Jovani” singer believed that the BStrong founder leveraged the show to market her brands but didn’t back her castmates when they did the same.

Their conflict resurfaced last year when Bethenny launched her podcast, “Real Housewives” rewatch.

Luann considered the undertaking hypocritical since “desperate,” Bethenny had spent most of her time away from the franchise criticizing the show.

According to reports, it’s not just Luann who has a problem with Bethenny as numerous Real Housewives of New York City alums hold negative views about the Skinnygirl creator.

Over the years, Bethenny’s former RHONY cast members perceived her as acting superior towards them because of her successful business ventures and not acknowledging the accomplishments of her co-stars before they joined the Bravo show.
