Todd Chrisley began serving a 12-year prison sentence on January 17, for tax fraud charges, at Pensacola Federal Prison Camp. He’s been incarcerated for almost three months now. Todd’s daughter, Lindsie Chrisley, was more apprehensive than him about his time in prison.

Naturally, She was worried that the stark contrast between his luxurious lifestyle and the cramped prison cell with communal showers would be too overwhelming for him.

However, during a recent visit, Lindsie was pleased to see that Todd was in good health and spirits and seemed to be adapting well to his new life in prison.

On her Southern Tea podcast, Lindsie disclosed in a recent episode, “My last visit with my dad, I couldn’t stop telling him how great that he looked.”

She continued, “He looks very very good. I told him, I said, ‘Even your hair looks better, a little bit longer and a little bit grayer.’ His nails aren’t completely bitten off.”

She added that he’s, “in such a better place” these days.

This is a stark contrast from February when Todd’s youngest daughter, Savannah Chrisley, 25, revealed her dad was having a difficult time in prison and appeared to be in a very despondent state.

Lindsie claims that Todd has moved past those days and has now learned to accept his new role as a federal prisoner, “His spirits are great,” she explained.

“He is really just embracing the process there and making the best of the process there with the people that are also there serving time with him.”Todd Chrisley

In June 2022, Todd, 53, and Julie Chrisley, 49, were convicted of conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and tax fraud. The couple defrauded banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans.

The couple and their accountant were also convicted of several tax crimes, including attempting to defraud the IRS and evade collection of delinquent taxes, according to the Department of Justice.

The former Chrisley Knows Best stars went from riches to rags upon entering prison. Todd now cleans toilets in the slammer, as previously reported.
