Lisa Vanderpump’s Restaurant On The Brink of Closure Amid Liquor License Drama

PUMP, Lisa Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant, could be on the brink of closure.

PUMP could shut down in 90 days if the Vanderpump Rules boss fails to strike a deal on a new lease to keep the hotspot open, per a report by Eater. The report comes only weeks after California’s Alcoholic Beverage Control board temporarily suspended the establishment’s liquor license.

Last week, the property was shared as a real estate listing.

The CityStreet Commercial listing, posted on Instagram on March 28, read — “CityStreet Commercial is pleased to present 8948 Santa Monica Blvd in the heart of West Hollywood. 8948 Santa Monica Blvd sits along West Hollywood’s ‘Boy’s Town,’ an area that is a popular destination for locals with high foot traffic and an amazing demographic and mix of single-family and multi-family homes.”

Lisa Vanderpump shut down chatter of a potential closure last month, suggesting that that both parties were still working to hammer out a deal.

“We’ve been in the Pump location for 10 years, have a great relationship with the landlord, and are currently discussing resigning our lease over the next few months, but haven’t made a decision and will be open tonight,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum told Entertainment Tonight, in March. “We’re also currently expanding our empire and will be opening two more restaurants with Caesars Palace.”

However, a source alleged that PUMP had never recovered from the March 2020 COVID-19 closures, and real estate agent, Leslie Haro, confirmed that the property’s landlords were “looking for a long-term tenant.”

Leslie’s CityStreet Commercial brokerage did not specify the rent figure but noted that a 10 year lease was available. The listing also stated that the venue might be available within 90 days.

Lisa Vanderpump shuttered Villa Blanca, the Beverly Hills eatery regularly featured on RHOBH, in July 2020.

“Although there have been many untrue articles in the past week or so about the reasons for closing Villa Blanca, we are indeed going to be closing up our doors for good,” she said in an exclusive statement.

“If the landlord had been willing to renegotiate and the lease wasn’t ending, we would have reopened, but unfortunately with Coronavirus, the situation was beyond our control.”

The reality star said at the time that she hoped to reopen the famed eatery in a new location.

Lisa Vanderpump said — “While saying goodbye to the location where we have actively served the Beverly Hills community for 12 years and employed hundreds of Angelenos, is a sad time for us, we are excited to perhaps bring Villa Blanca back in the future at a different location – as its staff and customers have always been a family.”

Vanderpump Rules airs Wednesdays, at 9 p.m. ET, on Bravo.
