‘Sister Wives’ Paedon Brown Does NOT Approve of Mom’s Christine’s New Boyfriend, David

Paedon Brown, son of ex Sister Wives couple, Kody and Christine Brown, has opened up about how he views his mom’s romance with boyfriend, David Woolley.

Earlier this month, Paedon sounded off on TikTok about his mother’s first relationship since leaving the plural family. The 24-year-old admitted that he was concerned that his mother was moving “too fast” with the Utah construction executive. 

Paedon described a conversation he had with his mother on the sensitive subject in the resurfaced footage. 

Paedon explained — “Last night [I told her], ‘Hey Mom, you’re going fast. I’m not telling you to slow down. I just want you to be aware that you’re rushing this.”

He pointed out — “You were in–you’ve been in a bad relationship [with Kody] for years.’”

Kody and Christine announced that they were calling it quits on their 25-year spiritual marriage in November, 2021. Kody and Christine share six children together — Aspyn, 27, Mykelti, 26, Paedon, 24, Gwendlyn, 21, Ysabel, 19, and 12-year-old Truely.

Paedon continued — “She was in a bad relationship…it was actually good at one point…but at least for the past, minimum, five years you’ve been in a bad relationship, and I’m really sorry about that.”

He told his mother — You’re now rushing into this relationship [with David] very, very quickly.”

Paedon clarified that despite his concerns, he was glad that his mom had found happiness. 

He said — “I’m very happy for her. I’m very happy that she’s happy. It’s absolutely amazing.”

Paedon also revealed that Christine asked for his input on David, sharing — “I told her that I’ll probably never be really close with him, but that’s not a problem at all.”

“My mom was never close to her stepdad. And that’s OK… I’ll probably never be close with David. But that’s OK. She’s happy, and I’m very, very happy for her,” he declared. 

Paedon described his dynamic with David as “standoffish.”

“We’re both tall guys. We’ve both got a lot of experience, but he’s got way more [life] experiences,” he said.”It will never turn violent. I’ll never hit him, and he’ll never hurt me.”

He clarified that he believes that David is a “wonderful guy,” while admitting  that his opinion on the matter is of minimal importance. 

“She can move as fast as she wants. She’s an adult,” he said. “I’m just looking at this as her son… it’s completely up to her. She can move as fast as she wants. It’s her life. It’s completely up to her.”

He added — “However if she asks for my opinion, I give her my opinion. And now you guys have asked for my opinion, and I’ve given my opinion to you guys.”

Paedon also noted that most of his sisters agree with his opinion on their mom’s monogamous relationship. 

Fans expressed concern about the seemingly speedy romance last month, after Christine, 50, posted a video on Instagram of her youngest child, Truely, biting David’s hand, while on an outing. Some believed that the preteen’s behavior was disturbing. 

One follower asked — “Does anyone think this is too much too fast? For Christine and Truely? I know the show is a year (or more) behind, but I hope there was some settling time before jumping into another relationship. I’m 100% team Christine.”

Another commented — “Not too fast for Christine but too fast for Truely. My parents divorced when I was 16 and I wouldn’t have wanted to be around any of their love interests but all kids are different.”
