’90 Day Fiance’ Cynthia Decker PRAISES Molly Hopkins’ Ex Kelly Brown After Choke-Slam Incident
A disturbing case involving several stars of TLC series, 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk, has been resolved.
Authorities have closed a case linked to a criminal complaint filed by Molly Hopkins and her daughter, Olivia, who claimed that the latter was choke-slammed by Molly’s ex, Kelly Brown.
Molly’s former bestie and ex business partner, Cynthia Decker, defended Kelly during the probe into the high profile incident. 90 Day Fiancé fan account, Merrypants, recently reported that police did not gather enough evidence to pursue the case against Kelly. Cynthia shared the post and sent a message to Kelly, in light of the update.
Cynthia Decker wrote on her Instagram Story — “So happy your name is cleared @Kellykb2022. There should be recourse for false police reports! Especially when they included lies about me being a part of it when I wasn’t!”
The Cobb County Georgia police report, filed on February 2, stated — “Kelly rushed to the counter, grabbed Olivia by her neck and slammed her against the wall.”
The alleged choke-slam incident occurred around Thanksgiving of last year. Molly and Olivia filed the police report in early February 2023, only a week after reports alleged that a 90 Day spinoff show was in production.
Olivia told the authorities that she was unable to provide security footage from that day because Cynthia was the only person who had “access” to it. Molly and Olivia alleged in the police report that Cynthia was present during the alleged attack, but Cynthia denied the claim in several interviews. She also shot down the allegation that she was the only person with access to the security camera, noting in a deleted post that several other people had the same. She claimed that the camera had been unplugged by someone who did not want her to watch the store while she was away.
Kelly has remained largely silent, aside from thanking outlets for covering reports on the conclusion of the case. Molly has not addressed the case on social media, nor has Olivia, in recent weeks.
The alleged upcoming 90 Day spinoff is rumored to be a couples therapy series, which suggests that the drama between Molly and Kelly could be addressed on the show. Reports claimed that Kelly had been spotted with several other cast members and a camera crew at a Florida resort, only a week before Molly and Olivia filed the police report.
TLC has not confirmed that Molly, Kelly, or Cynthia will appear in any upcoming seasons of 90 Day Fiancé. The network has parted ways with multiple cast members for a range of shady behind-the-scenes behaviors, but other questionable characters have continued their roles in various spinoffs, leaving Molly’s future with TLC a question mark.
Last month, a source gave an inside scoop to In Touch about what had led to Molly and Cynthia’s falling out, after a two-decades-long friendship.
“Molly is the one who did most of the work and Cynthia did nothing. She’s upset that she won’t be making that Pillow Talk money any longer,” the insider said. “[Cynthia] resented Molly for being the star of the show and Cynthia was just a sidekick.”
Cynthia Decker revealed that she and Molly were “no longer friends” while responding to a fan on social media.
She added — “I will not be back on Pillow Talk. I wish I had a different answer for you.”
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs on Sundays at 8:00 pm ET on TLC.
