Teddi Mellencamp Claims Garcelle and Sutton Rely On Twitter For Validation

Teddi Mellencamp is warning Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke to check their egos while filming the upcoming season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Teddi claimed that the two fan favorites are relying on their “Twitter audience” for validation, during a recent episode of her podcast “Two Ts in a Pod.”

Garcelle and Sutton have received lots of fan kudos for pressing co-star, Erika Jayne, to answer hard questions amid her ongoing legal battles. Fans also cheered the duo for taking a neutral stance amid Lisa Rinna’s feud with Kathy Hilton.

Teddi addressed Garcelle and Sutton’s favored status among fans, and advised the pair to “reel in the ego” and stop leaning on Twitter comments for support.

Sutton and Garcelle use Twitter audience as validation,” the podcaster said.

“You may want to reel in the ego a touch, because every favorite falls,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum advised.

Teddi briefly reflected back on her time on the show, pointing out “how quickly” she became “hated” by Bravo fans.

“My first season I was considered a ‘fan favorite’ as well,” she said with a chuckle. “And look how quickly I became hated.”

Many viewers believe that the network manufactures cast feuds to target unpopular “Housewives.” Some believe that cast members twist their own storylines to appeal to the masses on social media.

Garcelle and Sutton were initially friendly with Erika, but some believe that they unreasonably changed their tune after her ex, Tom Girardi, was slammed with a flood of lawsuits. Fans cheered them on as the legal scandal escalated, but some believe that the duo only treated Erika harshly to rake in social media applause.

Erika interjected herself into the breakdown of Garcelle’s friendship with former RHOBH cast member, Lisa Rinna, during Season 12, proving that she was also up for playing hardball on social media.

Garcelle had shared an on-and-off friendship with Rinna for 20 years when she joined RHOBH for Season 10. The duo initially clashed over their mutual friendship with Denise Richards, amid drama with RHOBH alum, Brandi Glanville. Rinna and Garcelle moved past their conflict but their feud was revived when a copy of Garcelle’s trashed memoir was snapped and posted on Erika Jayne’s Instagram Story.

Lisa Rinna later admitted to tossing Garcelle’s tell-all book, ‘Love Me As I Am,’ in the garbage during the Season 12 reunion series, after butting heads with her co-star throughout the season. Fans were led to believe that it was Erika Jayne who ditched the read but Rinna copped to the diss, explaining that Erika had only uploaded the video to her own Instagram Story.
