‘Below Deck’ Captain Lee Addresses Rumors About His Future On The Show
Captain Lee Rosbach is hinting that his time on Below Deck may not be coming to an end. Fans recently watched the Bravo captain return to the St. David after Below Deck Mediterranean star, Captain Sandy Yawn, stepped in so he could tend to a health issue.
Captain Lee Rosbach’s return came amid reports that claimed that Season 10 would be his last, and that Below Deck Adventure star, Captain Kerry Titheradge, was waiting in the wings to take over for Season 11.
Captain Lee took to Twitter during the most recent episode, responding to several fan comments and questions. One viewer noted that it was nice to have Captain Lee back for his final season.
“Thanks so much, but never say never. One never knows what the future may hold,” Captain Lee teased, in response.
Last month, Us Weekly reported that Captain Kerry Titheradge would be replacing the 73-year-old for Season 11, which was set to begin filming in Grenada. Captain Kerry appeared to confirm the news, claiming that he had received advice from Captain Lee during a golf outing.
“‘Be yourself. Be that same guy I was playing golf with,’” Kerry said he was told by the Below Deck star. “And then I asked him about social media and how to do that. I said, ‘I heard I should get someone to do it, so I don’t get caught up in it.’ He goes, ‘No, do your own social media. Don’t let anyone do that.’”
Captain Kerry also shared that he was encouraged by Captain Lee ahead of the Below Deck Adventure premiere, after bumping into the reality TV personality at BravoCon.
Captain Kerry recalled — “The show hadn’t been out yet, but we got a chat and he’s like, ‘Man, you’re gonna do great. You’re gonna do really good. I can see it.’ He says, ‘You’re gonna do fantastic in this franchise.’ And then he chatted with my daughter. It was cool.”
Captain Lee shared a real-time update as fans watched him depart the St. David to tend to his health.
“Back surgery came out great, it really did,” he told Us Weekly, in December. “You will find this season that I do something that I’ve never, ever done before in my career of in my life. And there’s gonna be a lot of situations where you’re gonna go like, ‘Wow, didn’t see that coming at all.’ And not only will it be true for the viewers, [but] it was also true for myself and the crew.”
The Bravo personality, who received a flood of love and support after the show featured his return, expressed his appreciation to fans as he wrapped his live Twitter session.
Captain Lee tweeted — “Ok, I don’t know what to say. I am very humbled by the warm welcome back. I will do my best not to disappoint any of you or my crew. Same drill, gym in the am, and to any of you I may have missed, I will catch you on the flip side. Thanks again to everyone for being so kind.”
Below Deck airs Mondays at 8 pm ET on Bravo.
