Heather Dubrow Announces 12-Year-Old Daughter Identifies As Trans!
Heather Dubrow has recently expressed her pride as a mother after revealing her 12-year-daughter, Collette Dubrow, identifies as transgender.
In honor of International Sons Day on March 4th, The Real Housewives of Orange County star took to Instagram to confirm that her youngest child is transgender and is named, Ace.
Heather Dubrow, 54, and her husband, renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, also have twins named Maximillia “Max” and Nicholas, and a daughter named Katarina “Kat.”
In her Instagram post featuring a photo of the word “Ace,” written on a beach — Heather stated that their job as parents is to provide a safe and supportive environment for their children to grow up healthy, happy, confident, and independent. She added that since Ace is only 12-year-old and has a long life ahead of him, they will let him tell his own story someday if he chooses to do so.
Heather Dubrow further shared that Ace’s entire family supports him and they are proud to be his parents. She concluded by saying that they love him very much, and his siblings also love and support him.
Ace’s sisters showed their love and support for him by leaving comments on Heather’s post. Max, who came out as bisexual on Instagram in 2020 and is currently a freshman at Tufts University, wrote, “Love you Ace.” Kat, who revealed that she is a lesbian in 2022, posted three red heart emojis.
Apart from Ace’s siblings, many Bravolebrities also expressed their support for the family in the comments. Andy Cohen simply left six clapping hands emojis, while RHOC star Gina Kirschenheiter commented, “Love you and your whole family! You’re mom goals, always have been and continue to be!!!” Emily Simpson, another RHOC cast member, also shared red heart emojis to show her support.
Alexis Bellino, a former RHOC cast member who revealed in October 2022 that her son Miles is also transgender, left a message of support for Ace as well, saying “We love you Ace!!!!!!!” Meghan King, another RHOC alum, celebrated Ace’s authentic self and encouraged him to live out loud by writing, “Yay Ace! Here’s to celebrating your authentic self and living out loud!”
Terry Dubrow expressed his gratitude for all the positive comments and thanked everyone for spreading love. Heather also thanked Real Housewives of New York City alum, Bethenny Frankel, for her “love and support.”
Bethenny wrote a heartfelt message for the family, sharing her decades-long friendship with Heather and how Ace and her daughter Bryn have become fast friends after meeting in Aspen.
