Brandi Glanville Denies Sexually Assaulting Caroline Manzo
Brandi Glanville denied sexually assaulting Caroline Manzo during her time filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
Brandi skipped The Traitors Season 1 reunion amid an ongoing investigation into an alleged incident involving the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and her RHUGT co-star, Caroline Manzo.
“Brandi wanted nothing more than to attend The Traitors reunion,” Brandi’s rep told PEOPLE. “It has been one of Brandi’s favorite projects.”
“Brandi has been prohibited from sharing her side of the story and in turn, people have only heard unsubstantiated versions,” the rep added. “Brandi maintains her innocence and vehemently denies any wrongdoing.”
In late January, sources told the outlet that the cast had been filming in Marrakech, Morocco, when Brandi crossed a line with Caroline during a party. The controversial Bravo personality reportedly kissed Caroline multiple times without her consent, during the filmed bash.
“It was unwanted,” a snitch told the outlet. “And Caroline’s distress over the matter did not seem to stop Brandi. Things escalated and physical boundaries allegedly were crossed that Caroline felt were serious and uncomfortable.”
Producers reportedly made the decision to report the incident to their superiors. Brandi was removed from the trip that afternoon, without Caroline’s knowledge. Caroline made her own decision to leave the show early, later that evening.
Representatives for Peacock and Shed Media responded to the incident in a statement that read — “The safety and security of cast and crew while shooting is extremely important and we take all reports seriously. In this situation, production immediately launched a comprehensive review and is taking appropriate action.”
Brandi apologized to Caroline, via text message, the next day, after hearing of her upset.
Cast members, Vicki Gunvalson, Eva Marcille, Phaedra Parks, Camille Meyer, Alex McCord, and Gretchen Rossi all purportedly supported Caroline’s decision to leave ahead of schedule, as did producers. Filming resumed and wrapped a few days later.
Caroline has not appeared in the reality TV spotlight since 2016, when her spinoff series, Manzo’d with Children, starring her husband, Al, and their three kids, Albie, 36, Lauren, 34, and Chris, 33, ended its run. She previously starred on RHONJ for five seasons.
Brandi has enjoyed stints on various reality shows since leaving RHOBH in 2015. She appeared on Celebrity Apprentice, Celebrity Big Brother, Famously Single, My Kitchen Rules, and most recently, Peacock series, The Traitors.
Brandi competed for a $250k prize in her latest role, taking part in various challenges alongside other reality stars like Below Deck’s Kate Chastain and Shah’s of Sunset Star, Reza Farahan.
