Amy Slaton, from 1000-Lb. Sisters, has separated from her husband, Michael Halterman, and she is preparing to file for divorce.

Amy Slaton, 35, has already left the family’s residence in Kentucky with her two children — Gage, 2, and Glenn, 7-months — according to The US Sun.

In November 2020, Amy Slaton and Michael welcomed their son, Gage Deon Halterman. The TLC stars revealed in January 2022 that they were expecting their second child. At the time, Amy shared a photo of her eldest son wearing a onesie that read, “I’m going to be a big brother 2022.”

On July 8, 2022, Amy gave birth to their second son, whom they named Glenn Allen Halterman. Amy announced her son’s arrival via Instagram.

A source revealed that Amy Slaton and her children are currently staying with her sister, Tammy Slaton, who has recently returned from rehab and is also in Kentucky.

The local snitch claims that Michael has been envious of Amy’s affection towards their kids and has been exhibiting laziness, leading to tension in their relationship since the previous year.

Amy says Michael is lazy and has been jealous of her attention toward the kids.” The insider shared with the outlet. “They’ve been having trouble since last year.”

Amy and Michael have not filed for divorce in Kentucky as of yet.

The couple has been in a long-term relationship since high school. Amy and Michael exchanged vows on March 15, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee. However, prior to their official wedding ceremony, Michael had disclosed on his YouTube channel that they eloped in June 2017.

“My husband Michael, he means the world to me. Me and Michael are newlyweds but we’ve been together four years now,” the YouTube star said during the series debut in January 2020. “I can tell him anything and everything. And Michael’s really supportive of me helping Tammy.”

According to an insider familiar with the TLC stars, whenever a cast member tries to have a “serious conversation” on the show, the producers cut it from the final edit.

Additionally, all cast members who appeared in season four Part A — including Tammy’s husband, Caleb Willingham, have reportedly signed contracts to film Part B and are prohibited from accepting any other commercial opportunities in the meantime.

In November 2022, Tammy married husband, Caleb Willingham. Caleb and Tammy first met each other while undergoing treatment for their obesity-related health issues at a rehabilitation center. Later, they got married at the same facility.

Tammy underwent a gastric bypass surgery, which was successful, and she has stayed in the facility since then to continue her recovery under medical supervision. Caleb, too, remained at the center for his treatment.
