Wendy Williams Says She Wants a Spot on ‘The View’ While Shopping for Cat Food
Wendy Williams revealed a career goal after she was spotted shopping for cat food at Petco. The former host of The Wendy Williams Show was snapped inside the pet store stocking up on supplies, per a report by The U.S. Sun.
The former daytime diva was dressed in all black, rocking a track jacket and furry boots.
“I’m shopping for kitty litter because I have a wax museum in Paris and one in California,” Wendy told cameras.
She went on — “I’m going for a week in Paris and then three weeks in California and then immediately fly back.”
Wendy also declared that she wanted to be back in the TV spotlight.
“I want to be on TV, stuff like Seth Meyers, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, The View,” she said.
Wendy quipped — “Stuff like that – I am formerly retired,” before pushing her loaded cart to the checkout lane.
Wendy was spotted out on the streets of New York City on Friday.
The outlet posted a video that captured Wendy before she visited a local smoke shop. She was dressed warmly on her top half but exposed her bare legs in denim shorts.
Wendy asked for help to step up on the sidewalk, after exiting her car.
“Somebody help me,” she said to people around her, repeating — “Somebody help me up.”
A photographer helped out the former chat show legend and received a “thank you” in response.
Wendy then shared what she planned to purchase.
“’I’m getting Blu. Do you know what that is?” she asked, explaining — “It’s like a cigarette, except it does nothing.”
Wendy lost control of her finances in May 2022 after suffering a myriad of health issues, prompting the court to put a financial guardian in place. She lost her show in June and checked into rehab for “severe alcohol abuse” in August. She was in treatment for two months.
Wendy is reportedly plotting a comeback despite her multiple setbacks. A camera crew has been capturing her recent outings, amid a rumored plan to launch a reality series.
“Wendy is filming a reality show. She rocked up to New York celebrity hotspot Fresco by Scotto and had a producer hand out Non-Disclosure Agreements to patrons,” a source told The U.S. Sun.
The snitch dished that Wendy popped into a restaurant on Tuesday without a reservation.
“It wasn’t like this was pre-planned,” the insider said. “When you see the women on the Real Housewives, you see them just walk into places, but really production scouts out the restaurant in advance.”
The eyewitness added — “They set it up, there are full permissions involved.”
“Wendy just figured this is her favorite restaurant, so she just showed up!” the source explained. “This did not look like a crew hired by a network, this feels like a very homemade reality show.”
The tipster added — “It appears this will be a show about her life after The Wendy Williams Show.”
