Famous Soap Opera Actor Arrested on Suspicion of Rape

A high-profile mystery soap opera actor was arrested on suspicion of rape according to a new report by the U.S. Sun. The television star allegedly attacked a twenty-something-year-old woman after meeting her at a party. 

Met Police officers reportedly grilled the popular soap star for several hours. The man, also in his 20s, was bailed out of jail amid the ongoing investigation into the alleged attack. The purported incident reportedly occurred in a South London residence late last year. 

The alleged victim was also interviewed by authorities and was offered professional support. 

The soap star’s arrest purportedly shocked members of the cast and crew of the popular show. The soap opera reportedly draws in millions of viewers. Detectives are reportedly building a case for the Crown Prosecution Service as they continue their investigation. 

“This has sent shockwaves through the soap he works on. It has left people reeling,” a television insider told the outlet. “It’s a very serious allegation.”

The tipster claimed that the TV star was taken in for questioning after the alleged victim made the claim.

The source said — “They apparently met earlier that night at a party.” 

A Met rep confirmed — “Police are investigating after a woman reported she was raped while at a residential address in the Southwark area on December 30.”

“Specially trained officers continue to offer support to the victim,” the spokesperson added. “A man was arrested on suspicion of rape and has been bailed until a date in April.”
