Jax Taylor Teases Return to Reality TV Two Years After Exiting ‘Vanderpump Rules’
Jax Taylor is teasing a return to the reality TV spotlight more than two years after departing Bravo series, Vanderpump Rules. Jax spilled some tea last week when responding to a fan, who asked if he was involved in a new E! Network reality show.
A fan retweeted a rumor to Jax on February 10, that read — “Jax is filming his new show House of Villains.”
Jax responded “Sure is,” when a Twitter user asked the ex-Bravo star if the rumor was true.
Jax hinted that a new project was underway the previous day, tweeting — “This is the craziest thing I’ve ever been a part of in my life but having a lot of fun.”
Jax’s rumored appearance on the new show has been circulating on Reddit, but the network has yet to announce the series. The show, which has a working title of “House of Villains,” will be hosted by Anna Delvey. MTV star, Johnny Bananas, “Big Brother” winner, Rachel Reilly, “The Bachelor” personality, Corinne Olympios, “Flavor of Love’ alum, Tiffany Pollard, “Survivor’s” Johnny Fairplay, and others make up a list of potential contestants.
Jax fueled further speculation when he retweeted a few comments referencing the budding reality series.
One fan tweeted — “Im calling it right now @johnnybananas and @mrjaxtaylor r gonna be buddies and jax is going to lose his s*** with the ‘DJ’ guy from love is blind.”
Another wrote — “I’ll be watching. I mean how could I not with @mrjaxtaylor in the mix. They call him a ‘Villain.’ And I just keep thinking of him as Gaston. A Halloween or cosplay costume that needs to happen now.”
Jax cosigned another comment that read — “I’m so happy my prayers have been heard and the number one guy in the group @mrjaxtaylor is going to be back on my television screen again manifesting is real you guys..life is good.”
Jax appeared for eight seasons on Vanderpump Rules and has maintained that he hoped to land another reality TV gig. He implied that potential shows were in the works when he explained why he stayed put in California, despite an expressed desire to live elsewhere.
“Because we got new projects in the works here,” he wrote on Twitter in March 2022. “[TV] will be back soon. Only reason why I am still here.”
A villain role would likely be a good fit for Jax, as he claimed during his time on Pump Rules that he had been edited as the bad guy on the cast. He spoke out about feeling pressured to fall in line with editors during an April 2021 appearance on the “Daddy Issues” podcast.
“I cannot tell you how happy I am not to be part of that show anymore,” he said of the Bravo show. “It’s weight that’s lifted off me that I don’t have to be that person….that douchebag, that villain, that guy. …The only thing I’m gonna miss about it is the paycheck.”
Jax even claimed that he sometimes faked a persona for producers, during an Instagram Live that same month.
“I put in nine years. It’s a long time to be lying to the fans. Because it’s not true. A lot of the stuff I was doing was just not real,” he said. “The show is highly edited. All they did was show me blow up and go crazy all the time.”
